Description

Trailer for The Moving Creatures.

Three mothers, three sons, three riffs on separation. With startling narrative and stylistic innovation, The Moving Creatures involves us in three different stories, each gripping us with the tension of unforeseeable anticipation. A sleepy teenage boy, doted upon by his school teacher mother, meets up with a girl in a park; a professor at a music school feels muddled and confused, while at home his wife chats with her best friend about travel plans with their infant son; and a family in a restaurant celebrating the birthday of one of their sons prepares for a special visitor. Monologues in the forms of songs of surprise and sometimes sorrow punctuate each one of these absorbing pieces that detail the profound meaning children bring to our lives.
