Deadpool 2 Casts Jack Kesy, Believed To Be Villain Black Tom

Marvel and Fox are slowly but surely getting the talent they want to make Deadpool 2 the movie we all hope it will be. From the casting of Zazie Beetz (Domino) and Josh Brolin (Cable), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa) will be returning alongside Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson/Deadpool), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Stefan Kapacic (Colossus) and Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead).

Now Deadline is reporting that Jack Kesy has joined the crew. As the actor is said to have agreed terms with the studio for the part of an unnamed villain. But many have already concluded that the role will be of Black Tom, a Dublin-born mutant who can create energy blasts through plant life. Kesy's best credits to date lie with the television series The Strain as well as an appearance in the 2017 rebooted feature Baywatch.

Weasel Ponders, Cable Pumps For D2 Preparation

Taking on the anti-hero Cable, a buffed up killing machine with time traveling abilities and a short temper next to his sidekick Deadpool, Josh Brolin showcased his bench press as he gears up for duel Marvel roles following Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

"Sit inside the muscle, grow it, Imagine it germinating into its conclusive state," he posted on Instagram. "Then turn around and kick the f***er who keeps trying to hold your shoulders down. 😜 @justindlovato @stephjlovato #GROW #thanos #[email protected] @xptlife #deadpool#aintnobird #keepthemguessing."

Contrasting his lead up to the sequel, T.J. Miller told MovieWeb that we will be seeing more of the loveable loser Weasel when production begins in a couple of months time.

"Marvel will cut off my hand and tongue if I tell you," he remarked cautiously. "But...let me just tell you that the second installment will be even more weaselicious. Let me just put it that way, to quote Pauly Shore. I'm very excited about it. That starts in August and September. I'm so excited. I know it means so much to Ryan that it's good; and for the writers, and for all of us actually. The first one did so well, people loved it so much. I think they really put the time in on the script. I'm just so excited."

Deadpool Cameo Pops Up In Logan Honest Trailer

Celebrating the 200th short from Screen Junkies for their universally popular series Honest Trailers, the Logan video enjoyed a small but memorable appearance by Ryan Reynolds a.k.a. The Merc with the Mouth. True to form, he refrained from any wisecracks that would have stung "The Jack Man," instead arguing that the 2017 Marvel installment should have won an Oscar.

Failing to come up with any conclusive sore points that fell short of the mark, they said on the record that the only issue with Logan is that it made the other X-Men installments look decisively "meh" by comparison. Fair point.
