Josh Brolin Launches Tirade Against James Cameron Over Avatar 2 Snub

James Cameron clearly does not appreciate people saying no to him. With his Avatar 2 sequel in development and requiring some A-list stars to make the picture a hit with critics and audiences, The Terminator director would reach out and make an offer to Josh Brolin.

Yet his schedule had been packed with Marvel appearances, starting with Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Cable for Deadpool 2. This would result with Cameron allegedly speaking poorly of Brolin around Hollywood and with word around town reaching the man himself, the Sicario star shot back.

"If I don't want to do Avatar, I'm not going to do Avatar," he told Cinemablend. "James Cameron's f***ing calling me this name and that name. Whatever. If James Cameron came to me and said, 'Hey, man, why'd you say that?' I'd go, 'Because it happened.'"

Deadpool 2 Shuts Down Streets in Vancouver

While the Canadian people continue to carry their stellar reputation as welcoming, polite hosts, some local businesses around the Vancouver CBD have complained to local news networks about the recent closures around the main roads. Having Deadpool 2 in production this week, surrounding cafes and restaurants have not been able to service their regulars and tourists flooding through.

However, the hiring of local crews and their spending in the area will result in a reported $40m in takings for the Vancouver economy, more than giving back to override any concerns over extended closures. These reports have also given us a brief glimpse into the movie, with a 'DMC' vehicle driving through with what appears to be a stunt double for Brolin's Cable jumping a top the tank.

Reynolds Trolls Tom Holland in Deadpool 2 Post

Ryan Reynolds cannot help himself when it comes to his social media posts, using the great image of him surrounded by members of the Vancouver Police Department to have a cheeky dig at his Marvel colleague Tom Holland. Granted the pair do not come into contact under the MCU with Deadpool confined to 20th Century Fox with Spider-Man: Homecoming owned by Sony, but the trolling was A-typical of Reynolds.

"Thank you #VPD," he posted. "And the great people of Vancouver for putting up with road closures and traffic delays as we film Spider-Man downtown."

The Canadian native's next installment The Hitman's Bodyguard with Samuel L. Jackson will be released in cinemas across the US on August 18. Deadpool 2 is much further back down the pecking order, debuting on June 1, 2018.
