Theatrical Trailer for Vox Lux, starring Natalie Portman, Jude Law, Christopher Abbott, Willem Dafoe and Jennifer Ehle.
begins in 1999 when teenage sisters Celeste (Raffey Cassidy) and Eleanor (Stacy Martin) survive a seismic, violent tragedy. The sisters compose and perform a song about their experience, making something lovely and cathartic out of catastrophe -- while also catapulting Celeste to stardom. By 2017, the now 31-year-old Celeste (Natalie Portman) is mother to a teenage daughter of her own and struggling to navigate a career fraught with scandals when another act of terrifying violence demands her attention.
While many are calling this one of Natalie Portman's finest performances, this could be her Silence of the Lambs moment. Not sure what I mean? If you pay attention to filmographies, you will notice that Portman likes working with a particular actor. Can you guess who?

No idea what's going on, and having actress Raffey Cassidy play two different characters is throwing me off even further.
But, still, amazing. I can't explain what I'm seeing...
