The dream of a carefree, clean nuclear power is over. The deep belief in the inexorable technological progress is shaken. What really happens behind the walls of nuclear power plants? Under Control makes the invisible visible: three years working at director Volker Sattel Under Control. He attended German atomic power plants and could - still unaffected by future events - win incredible insights. Under Control shows in Cinemascope with exceptional power and clarity to the human being as irritating foreign particles in the created world by himself. The camera records the people at their workplaces where they apparently deal naturally with the most dangerous material in the world. There are images that make visible the monstrous technology - between science fiction and everyday madness. This creates the film's transformation of the former Utopia of "peaceful use " of nuclear power over the day into tomorrow. If we really are as easy to get out of this technology? What legacy we leave future generations? The debate is not over, it begins just starting.
