Dear John tells story of John Tyree (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave, and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he falls in love with during her spring vacation. Love this!!!I read this book in a matter of hours. I hate reading too which is the amazing thing!!! I cried so much throughout the book and freaked out when I found out it was being made into a movie!!! So awesome and I can't wait!!! Savannah reminds me so much of the situation I once was in. Ahhh, I get chills just thinking about the book, I hope the movie is just as good if not better!!! Plus Channing Tatum is ahhh beautiful!:)

Dear John SoundtrackI hear the soundtrack is amazing too... From what I know they have new songs from SwellSeason, Joshua Radin and Schuyler Fisk, Sara Baeilles, Fink, a duet with Dan Wilson & Racharl Yamagata, The Donkeys and Ozomotli. Also I hear they have a song that Amanda Seyfried wrote and recorded. Can't wait to hear this!!!!

No DeNiroThis looks great!! The Notebook and message in a bottle were quality books and movies. Nights in Rodanthe was disappointing by contrast.
Channing tatum is good, but no deniro. Maybe the next clooney?
The song is Snow Patrol off the Headlights On Dark Roads album

Lots of moviesSo many books by Nicholas Sparks have been adapted into movies (Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Nights in Rodanthe, and, coming soon, The Last Song). But this one looks good like the rest of them.

cinematic fillerif it's as good as the notebook it will be another sucky film... and chuckT, tatum couldn't shine Robert DeNiro's shoes... with all the good movies comeing out why should this be considered... unless your 16 and female or a 16 year old male trying to lay down a 16 year old female this is a waste!
by srnksyh | October 17, 2009, 3:48PM
looks cool, anyway...Richard Jenkins rules!!!
by ChuckT | October 16, 2009, 3:25PM
The NextChanning Tatum is the next Robert DeNiro... hands down; the man can act and owns the screen.
