The Grinch Theatrical Trailer (2018)

A grumpy Grinch plots to ruin Christmas for the village of Whoville.

Illumination pulled what we can only call a "Pixar maneuver" in regards to hinting this upcoming Dr. Seuss adaptation. While Pixar places title characters in earlier films, hinting at the upcoming arrival -- sometimes years and years later -- Illumination put this version of The Grinch on one of Gru's girls in Despicable Me 3.

While this animated version of The Grinch looks cute and charming, I still don't know why we need it. I'm a fan of the live-action version starring Jim Carrey, and feel that got the story right. But, then again, maybe I'm alone here....
