Trailer for The Girl on the Train.
In the thriller, Rachel (Blunt), who is devastated by her recent divorce, spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds. Based on Paula Hawkins’ bestselling novel, The Girl on the Train is adapted for the screen by Erin Cressida Wilson and Taylor.
While filming The Girl on the Train, Emily Blunt announced she was pregnant with her second child. But, this is not the first time she has become pregnant while filming a movie, the other time was while she was filming Into The Woods (2014).
The movie is based on the psychological thriller novel by British author Paula Hawkins. The book debuted at No. 1 on The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 2015 list and remained in the top position for 13 consecutive weeks!
Oh man this looks intense. Since I have not read the book, I have no idea on how this will end. And, based on the trailer I can only begin to guess who the killer is. There looks to be more twists and turns than a M. Night Shyamalan film.
The acting in The Girl on the Train looks to be spot on and features some great casting choices. With names such as Emily Blunt, Haley Bennett, Luke Evans and Edgar Ramirez, you can't help but think ensemble.
There is definitely a Gone Girl feel to this film. I feel like they want to you believe one person is the killer when it actually is someone else...
