The Scraper Bike movement is a Bay Area phenomenon where young people take ordinary bikes and transform them into vehicles of vibrant personal style. The documentary short 'Scraped Up' follows six teenage boys who spend a summer building scraper bikes, equipped only with spray paint, duct tape and their creativity. The film explores the ups and downs among the group of 13-year olds and reflects on how loyalty, friendship and art can emerge from hot summer days.
