Description

Trailer for the documentary The Birth of the Phoenix.

The civil war between 1970 and 1990 in Lebanon caused the death and depletion of many people. This depletion became a turning point and a source of inspiration for Charles Nassar who learned mastery of blacksmith from his father. Collecting bomb splinters when bombing stops, Charles tries to ease humans’ pain caused by bombs through his art. The story within the material he uses is hidden within his work of art.
