Tom Holland Burns Avengers Script as New Spider-Man: Homecoming Promo Art Released

There is a big no no for actors who manage to score a gig within the studio's gigantic MCU franchise. By all means, do not withhold a script that contains specific details for a new installment. Tom Holland might be the youngest of the ensemble, but that does not let him off the hook. As the producers would have been waiting nervously for the goods to come back in one piece.

But rather than follow protocol, the Spider-Man: Homecoming star thought the best course of action was to burn his copy of Avengers: Infinity War in his own fireplace. Kevin Feige and co. can now go back to creating the masterpiece safe in the knowledge their precious film won't be spoiled on the Englishman's account.

Holland: You're Secret Is Safe With Me

Rule number one... hand in your script 😂

As if to offer a sacrifice to the Marvel Gods, Holland posted the moment on his Instagram account with the tagline, 'Rule number one... hand in your script.' True to form, the evidence disappeared amid the flames.

"Marvel would like to keep everything a secret," starts Holland. "So to all the producers who are probably freaking out because I forgot to hand in my script - here is the evidence that I am destroying it." As he tosses the paper into the fireplace, he proclaims proudly," Job done!"

Fronting a Facebook Live video alongside Robert Downey Jr., Holland made it official that he will be in the blockbuster. Just before getting his standalone intro via Spider-Man: Homecoming. That title will premiere on US soil as of July 7, 2017.

Fresh Look At Shocker For Homecoming

3/4: New York Toy Fair 2017 was a blast! Thanks to @firstordertransmissions and @makingstarwars, I was lucky enough to attend @Hasbro's off-site event today, and was blown away! This is Hasbro's best year for Toy Fair by far, and all of the Hasbro staff members were a class act! They held an amazing theater presentation talking about everything that they have in store for the next few months. We got sneak peeks at all sorts of toys including new 40th Anniversary Star Wars figures, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 figures, and of course, Spider-Man Homecoming figures! Once I got to the show floor, my jaw literally dropped to the floor when I saw how amazing all of these figures look, especially @TomHolland2013's 6" Marvel Legends Spidey figure with Peter's head. It looks exactly like Tom! When the event was over, Hasbro was kind enough to send everyone home with a gift bag with some toys including Star Wars Black Series Figures and Marvel Legends figures! I was fortunate enough to receive a Black Series Baze Malbus, and a new Marvel Legends Green Goblin! They look absolutely spectacular! Hasbro has really stepped up their game over the past few years, and I am so grateful to @firstordertransmissions and @makingstarwars for giving me the opportunity to attend this year! Thanks again Hasbro for making this an incredible Toy Fair! I can't wait to get my hands on all of the Star Wars 40th Anniversary figures, the Guardians Volume 2 figures, The Last Jedi figures, and of course, the Spider-Man Homecoming figures! #HasbroToyFair #NYTF2017 #GotGVol2 #SpiderManHomecoming

Fargo star Bokeem Woodbine made headlines last year when it was announced that he would take on the role of the villain Shocker, pitting the bad guy against Peter Parker in a film that is sure to pack a punch. Including Michael Keaton switching from DC to Marvel as Vulture, there has been a flurry of speculation regarding Woodbine's portrayal. Let alone how it would relate to the original character in the comic book series.

New fan art from Eric Cameron derives from the 2017 Toy Fair to showcase a powerful adversary with the capacity to do real damage. Yet a screen grab from the Spider-Man: Homecoming International Trailer would offer the best guide to the super-villain. Positioning the former high school dropout Herman Schultz stepping in front of a number of school buses as he prepares to wield his gauntlet of power.
