Justice League Updates and Reboots the Batmobile

Complete with about 18 machine guns ready to pop off the enemy at the drop of the hat, the new Batmobile that will feature in Justice League sure does pack a punch. The new addition of the beloved vehicle was showcased this week by director Zack Snyder. The photo confirms that he increased the arsenal, but somehow forgot to include windscreen wipers!

The Vero posting by the filmmaker portrays a car that is pumped up for military style action. Providing cannon and armor upgrades that might have been lacking when Bruce Wayne was tackling the Man of Steel in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Perhaps this is a wink and nod to The Dark Knight series, where Christopher Nolan utilized a Batmobile that resembled more of a tank that an actual car.

Will JL Decisions Impact Matt Reeves?

For all we know, this could be the one and only time Snyder gets to control the aesthetics of Batman before Matt Reeves takes the reigns of the standalone installment with Ben Affleck. The star himself walked away from directing duties. And, with Reeves threatening to walk away cold from the negotiating table, Warner Brothers and DC Films bent to the pressure and allowed the War for the Planet of the Apes director complete creative control.

Small details like the look and scope of the Batmobile might not be factors that come into play, but the movie is sure to be a removal of the complex, dark and convoluted screenplay that has damaged the legacy and reputation of the character in this realm. Much of the continuity of the two films will depend on the success of Snyder's ensemble. As Gal Gadot mentioned that a trailer is only days from premiering.

Is Darkseid Going To Appear?

Among all the names and faces that showed up in some shape or form for BvS, the appearance of Steppenwolf (played by Ciarán Hinds) opened up a whole range of options as the filmmakers tapped into DC's New Gods of Apokalypse. This suggested that Steppenwolf's father Darkseid might actually be one of the antagonists. At least, according to Umberto Gonzalez from The Wrap. And, although the report stopped short of saying that he will be a major player in the blockbuster, it does intimate that he will be more prominent later in the franchise.

“You see him and you feel his presence, but you don’t hear him talk.”

If only the same could have been said for Jessie Eisenberg's Lex Luthor...
