2 Vin Diesel-Based Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Updates Incoming

A couple of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 updates thanks to the social networks. Director James Gunn went to Twitter to reveal a Groot-exclusive script, while Vin Diesel went to Facebook to give his own #GotGVol2 feedback.

James Gunn Reveals Groot Script for Guardians of the Galaxy Sequel

Though Groot only seemed to say "I am Groot" or, adding some emotion, "We are Groot" in Guardians of the Galaxy, it is obvious that other characters like Rocket translate the phrase into something different. In regards to what Groot means, James Gunn has revealed on his Twitter that every Groot phrase has scripted meaning. Which brings in Vin Diesel, who is the only other person to have a "Groot Version" script for the Guardians sequel.

Why is it so special? Well, instead of "I am Groot," every phrase is written in English. Of course Groot will translate this back to "I am Groot", but at least Diesel knows which direction his character is heading. Check out Gunn's Twitter update below.

Vin Diesel is Wowed by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Footage

After seeing some of the first footage for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Vin Diesel went on his Facebook to record his reactions. The only problem was that he was nearly speechless, and demanded a second (or twenty) to compose his thoughts.

"Give me a second here... Wow. Just give me a second. You're not gonna believe this, guys. I mean... Oh. My. God. This is how you guys are gonna respond. This is how you are going to react. Oh my god, let me get my bearings here..."

James Gunn then jumps in to give an idea on why Vin is losing his mind. After explaining the benefit of Facebook Live, Diesel jumps back into trying to describe what he just saw.

"I'm blown away because I want to see the whole movie. I not only want to see the whole movie now, I want you to see the whole movie. I remember when we were releasing the first Guardians, and we knew what it was but the world was yet to discover what it was. And I kept saying that this was a movie you were going to want to recommend to people. You were going to want to share it with people you like, that you cared about. Anybody. You felt like you were gifting them the movie. But what I just saw right now is like, it's like seeing Santa Claus in September because you want Christmas to be tomorrow. I can’t believe that you have to wait this long to see this movie..."

If you watch the whole video, you can also tell that James Gunn, sporting a bit more composure than Vin, is also giddy about what they've accomplished so far in production. Though Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 isn't out in theaters until May 5th, 2017, expect a trailer before the year is over.
