Frankie is sentenced to fifteen years for murder: being innocent, he flips out and takes hostage the newly divorced Daniel and Anna Trieb. Needing a hideout, they end up at the Trieb’s summer place. On the way, Frankie kidnaps Secretary of Commerce Jan van Moellerbreit whom he holds responsible for his plight.
For reinforcements Frankie also collects his wife Gloria and his best friend Cheesie. He needs them, too, because Anna Trieb’s new lover has already made himself comfortable at the house – with champagne and Viagra!
Before Frankie can get the group under control Chief Inspector Kaminski and his men already have the place surrounded.
Frankie’s situation would be hopeless if Kaminski hadn’t sneaked in to rescue his secret lover Secretary of Commerce van Moellerbreit; if Daniel and Anna wouldn’t fight so much; if it didn’t come out that Cheesie has got Gloria pregnant; if Anna’s lover didn’t have a painfully permanent erection and if Sigrid, Kaminski’s right hand, who is hopelessly in love with her boss, doesn’t have to discover that Kaminski has no interest in women!
It all comes to a dramatic showdown in which events spin totally out of control!

Ein frisch geschiedenes, permanent streitendes Ehepaar, ein zu Unrecht verurteilter Kleinganove auf der Flucht, seine von seinem besten Freund schwangere Freundin, genau dieser beste Freund, ein als Geisel genommener Wirtschaftsminister, sein heimlicher Liebhaber (zufälligerweise auch Kriminalkommissar), die unglücklich in ihren Kollegen verliebte Kommissarin – sie alle treffen in der Sommerresidenz des Nicht-Mehr-Ehepaares Trieb aufeinander, wo der Liebhaber der Ehefrau bereits in freudiger Erwartung den Champagner kalt gestellt hat. Umstellt von unkoordinierten Polizeitruppen, den eigenen Spannungen hilflos ausgeliefert, stehen alle Beteiligten unter Strom.
Eine Beziehungskomödie über den ewigen Krieg der Geschlechter, eine Kriminalfarce mit hochkarätiger Besetzung, hoher Dialogfrequenz, Wortwitz, rasantem Tempo und stilsicher konstruierten Höhepunkten. Genervte Frauen, verzweifelte Männer in absurden Konstellationen treiben die Handlung voran und die Geschichte mündet nach einer chaotischen Nacht im milden Licht der aufgehenden Sonne in einem nicht mehr für möglich gehaltenen Happy-End.
