Tron Legacy is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that's unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. TRON:LEGACY
The movie is so fantastic. What made me say that was because of the different components of the movie. The concept of the story touched me the most which is the love of a father to his son. Sometimes you need to sacrifice in order for others to live, and in sacrificing you are showing your love. In terms of how the movie went out, it was great . The effects and the music also made the movie more fantastic.

song?
Please, I am so in love with this song, does anyone know at least the name of it (so I can dw)? Mainly from the part where he is actually at Tron.

well...
I'm off to Target to get more shorts.

I'm glad to have a new anticipated movie to be hyped for, now that i've seen Toy Story 3 and Inception.

Oh man.
Hooooo man. I cannot wait for this to come out, it's going to be fantastic.

@feanor15 The beginning of Two Steps From Hell - Am I Not Human? is only the song for the beginning of this trailor. The reast of the song for this trailor is another song. I think this unkown song is what everyone is looking for.

Trailer music??
I still can't find the music from this trailer... It's awsome... The only think I know for sure is that it's not from Daft Punk... Can anyone tell me where can I find it?

TRON!
The original was such a breakthrough in plot and story. It has remained one of my favorite movies and will remain so. This new release fills me with mixed emotions as I cant imagine it living up to the simple yet fantastic original. I am glad to see they are trying to keep some continuity...but that can lead to plot hinderances. The special effects are great in the trailer but almost too realistic and the feeling of the "computer world" that was in the original seems indistict. Lets hope the writers are able to create a fresh plot and not some rehash.

TR2N
First of all, they should have left the title as TR2N, and not this "legacy" BS. I'll expalin later.

Secondly, THANK GOD Disney had the nuts to do this sequal right, thats right.. with Jeff "the greatest actor of our century' Bridges. The man deserves 10 oscars if not more. Quite frankly I'm actually more excited to see this movie than any other piece of film in my life. I'm a child of the 80's, I was a kid when this hit theatres and remember every second of it. It was a hit back then, and has evolved into a cult classic ever since. The reason it has done so is simple, IT WAS WAY AHEAD OF ITS TIME. Thats right, this was literally a movie about cyberspace, 10 year before the term was even coined, 15 years before cyberspace was a household word, and 20 years before we had ugly 11 year old SpyKids fighting a virtual sylvester stallone. Matrix borrowed about 90% of its content from Tron and didn't tilt their hats to them one bit; quite frankly Keanu reeves can lick Jeff Bridge's Balls; Jeff was in cyberspace when Keanu was doing hair product commercials and dreaming for the day when Ed McMahon would molest him off-stage before he earned "3 and a half stars'.

Its movies like Tron that are so far ahead of their time, that change the way movies are made. They opened up an entirely new genre of movies revolving around the possibilities of alternate, computer-based realities. And such realities that interact with the real world on different levels.

I only hope that they don't bone this one up with special effects. The original TRON movie relied more on story, legend, acting, and plot, than it did the costumes and CGI. For the day, the CGI was state-of-the-art, but the movie didn't "lean on it" to make its point.

I hope this movie inspires today's generation as much as it did mine.

this left me speechless

re: music
If I'm not mistaken, the Daft Punk music for the trailer is NOT one of their songs - they composed it for the trailer. Since Daft Punk is ALSO composing the full film score, I'm already dying for the CD. With any luck, that'll be released shortly before the film itself. On that day, I will be parked on my local music store's doorstep, waiting... :)

And... like so many others, I've been patiently waiting for Disney to recognize the cult-classic stature of the original film for almost 3 decades. It is, indeed, about time.

Tron
I remember seeing the first movie when it came out in 82, I was hoping they would do a sequel. I think that a 28 yr period may be a bit too long, although with the new technological advancements with film,it had better be a definite BOX OFFICE SMASH. I keep coming abck to see the new trailer, especially the last 5 seconds of it, really got my attention. I want my own LIGHTCYCLE.

music ?
hi everybody
does anybody knows the name of the song for this trailer ? because everybody on the net is talking about Daft Punk, but that doesn't sound to me like a DP song, more like something done specially for this trailer, like an Immediate Music composition... if anyone has an answer, thanks !

about time
it's about damn time! I am happy that Jeff finally won his Oscar but this movie(and Starman) is the real reason he is famous. I just hate the evil empire that is Disney. This movie should look sick in 3D though
by soylentgreen1701 | March 16, 2010, 4:43PM
memorys
I agree with HOOKMASTER, but another DISNEY movie that doesn\'t really have memorabilia is THE BLACK HOLE, which I absolutely love as well. At least TRON got a ride at DISNEYLAND for several years, so you can\'t say they didn\'t do something with the idea.

My Geek fantasy has come true
At last Disney has decided to own up to this movie. I've been waiting for this day for 27 years and now it's finally here. But remember. Disney lost alot of money off of a gamble with the first one. After that they abandoned it. Just think. Disney has memorabilia on every item since Snow White. But this film was boxed in a crate and ignored for decades. So look for them to be elusive and secretive to insure this movie doesnt go viral. I just applaud them for dusting this one off and giving it the treatment it deserves. Tron was my favorite movie of all time but I was never able to discuss it with people until now. Also, The Matrix bit hard off this movie! It's time for the original to come forth!

I cant stop coming back here to watchi this trailer!
Must have seen it ten times by now.

What part of teaser trailer don't you guys get?
What part of teaser trailer don't you guys get? This was designed to get people excited about the movie through eyecandy. Expect the real trailer sometime between July-September as other mainstream movies come out. My guess is look for an official trailer with Toy Story 3 in June or The Sorcerer's Apprentice in July. For those looking for more plot. *shrugs* In either case IMHO it looks like dear old dad has turned dictator. The sneak peak from last year and now this has that “vibe” to it.

Pure EyeCandy. Squeezed from the EyeCandy fruit. Served on a chilled EyeCandy plate. and mainlined into your EyeCandy vein. The way Tron should be. I cant wait.

RE: a-parkman
Because Disney wanted to entice people to see Alice in Wonderland by having the trailer attached to that only. Money move.
by Farzan | March 8, 2010, 8:47PM
Cool
cause the studio that's making Tron Legacy is the one who made Alice in Wonderland. They wanted people to go and see Alice in Wonderland to catch the new Tron trailer instead of watching it on the PC at home for FREE. Stupid Disney if you ask me.

as for the trailer, I thought it looked pretty cool. Hopefully it wont be as cheesy as the first film.
by a-parkman@live.com | March 8, 2010, 8:24PM
Four days?
This premiered in Alice in Wonderland. Why did it take 4 days to be released online?
