Solomon Kane

Just so you know.....Lovecraft and Howard were friends. They corresponded throughout their lives and Howard was a member of the Lovecraft Society of riters. The Kane stories were short lived tho and many believe that most of them were destroyed by Howard shortly before his death. What little was published was the basis for the movie but Im certian that some liberties were taken to make it for the screen as is always the case. Take the time to read the stories for yourself. You can generally find them published together as a collection

Well I gota say is about time they come out with another movie based on REH heroes..I seen the clip and it looks great might be not like i have read but all the same is Solomon Kane not some pussy Van Helsing clone, And to all those who judge the movie by only seeing the clip get a life.
You cant judge the movie by seeing the clip so pfft to you all..Have read everything on Robert E Howard and he was an awsome writer. To me close second H.P Lovecraft.

Robert E. Howard is one of the most if not the most influential Fantasy writer of all time. Look at any fantasy book and you will see his legacy. Solomon Kane isnt some bullshit Van Hellsing faggot. The man was once evil in his own right, his soul has been damned and taken from him. Van Hellsing was a bitchhh.. Read a book before you judge a movie

I love these dark fanstasy type of action flicks. The original Conan was pretty awesome, so this should have a pretty cool story line (since it's the same creator's story). Obviously this won't be best picture of the year, but it'll be fun and action packed. I look forward to it.

Visually, the film looks great but there's quite a bit of bad dialogue in there.

All I know is I stopped the trailer halfway through because it bored me. Which tells me eveything I need to know about the movie. No thanks.

This certainly looks action-packed with some decent looking special effects.

Granted, the description was god-awful long and the trailer seemed to show a little too much.

This movie looks awesome, since it was made by Robert.E.Howard you might as well say this guy is going to be unstoppable and will prob vs the devil but hence saying this movie will be a great action adventure flick

Van Helsing under a different name. with a different face. and wearing different tights.

Solomon Kane was always like this back when Howard wrote about him. Van Helsing wasn't a badass like this, but rather an old man, until that 2004 movie.

I will give it a solid B and a Must See on my guilty pleasure list.
