Three college classmates Jim, Dixie and Ginger, purchase a ghost in an online auction. Thinking it’s a joke, they have no idea they’ve just bought the spirit of Katie Malone, an abused Irish servant girl chained outside by her owner until she froze. When a black wooden box arrives in the mail, Dixie and Ginger make wishes in hopes the ghost will fulfill them. Even after their wishes come true they don’t believe in the apparition until stranger things begin to happen. In a warped and violent attempt to appease her new masters Katie murders a professor who gave Dixie a bad grade a sorority girl
