Walt Kowalski is a widower, grumpy, tough-minded, borderline-hateful, unhappy old man who can't get along with either his kids or his neighbors, a Korean War veteran whose prize possession is a 1973 Gran Torino he keeps in cherry condition. When his neighbor Tao, a young Hmong teenager, tries to steal his Gran Torino, Kowalski sets out to reform the youth. Drawn against his will into the life of Tao's family, Kowalski is soon taking steps to protect them form the gangs that foul their neighborhood.

Gran Torino

Just bought and watched Gran Torino...EXCELLENT!!!! It should have swept up all the awards at the Oscars, but no...Best Actor went to Sean Penn who played a gay senator in the movie MILK. I'm sick of the hypocrites in Hollywood that give most recognition/awards to the movies that only suit their personal agendas.

Excellent movie

This has been the best movie I have seen in over a year! I had never been interested in watching Clint Eastwood's movies before, so this was my first experience, and I was "blown away". I almost cried just by watching the trailer again. The title has a lot to do with the movie; just watch it and you will find out. I highly recommend it.

Bad Ass

Bad ass flick. Very inspirational and an all-time classic. If it does not win movie of the year and actor and director of the year, that would be total BS. These young actors aint got shit on Clint. A true classic all star actor who lives and breathes life with a purpose and a deep message always. F any stupid haters. All time classic movie. Love u big dawg and thanks. God Bless. Gamnper21

Fantastic Movie!

Saw the movie last night, it was pure Clint Eastwood at his best. That man is highly talented! I will be going back to see it again. FANTASTIC!!!

Client is the type of actor that you can just keep on seeing again.. and again. Ya Client is getting older.. so are am I .. and everyone else. LOL..

Interesting

Yeah, Clint's always had that gritty voice, that's perfect for these roles. He is starting to get a bit old for this stuff, but I'm glad to seehe's got another one coming out. I love the super hero / comic book movies, but I like to see a break in them from time to time. Good to see a movie that shows thug'in isn't cool, and that people should help each other out, and defend themselves.
