SighAs usual a film that could've been so much. Instead they went the easy route of wall to wall computer graphics with hot women and explosions... Also weapons that make no sense, why drop some acid on Paris when you can simply blow it up?
Just like Dragon Ball they decided to be main-stream and make a film that doesn't involve thinking, it irritates me profoundly that this film will probably do well at the box-office on grounds of being a big name and thus self-justify more films like it regardless of how terrible it will undoubtedly be.

Crysis RipoffThat suit is a direct ripoff from teh Crysis video game. How lame is that. This movie is gonna suck nuts. They took the coolest concept ever for a movie and totally F'ed it up.

Why?I can not even begin to fathom why they were giving the greenlight for this movie; After they knew that they were deveiating so far from the original take on G.I. Joe. The biggest upset of this summer blockbusters by just watching the latest trailer. This will be possibly one of the most horrible retakes on a classic. How can you screw up a movie this bad when you know it had limitless possibilitys with just remembering the original take. I say once again what the ****? They should have took the 150 million + plus they spent on this movie and used it as toilet paper(it would have served a better purpose than releasing a **** film like this.

ExpectationsWell, since they ruined one of my childhood toy/cartoon franchises (Transformers), why not do the same with G.I. Joe?
But, on the bright side having such high expectations dethroned drastically after Transformers 1, at least I can sit back and enjoy both TF2 and G.I. Joe, as they're already slated to be made for the under 3 crowd. It's like expecting The Mummy to be the next Raiders of the Lost Ark.

WTFThis is just Transformers. I can't believe how many shot for shot scenes I can pick out from this trailer alone. Sad

high-price dog poopwhy the more they reveal, the stupider this looks. remember that Thunderbirds movie a few years ago with Ben Kingsley as the villain? this megabudget Joe doesn't seem to even attempt a personal heart or clever social satire (hello Iron Man!), so why waste 2 hours on a human version of the G-Force hamster movie?
Instead of "reinventing" Joe/Cobra for a cheese director (after Van Helsing, they give him another $175 million for THIS, prior to bloat problems and marketing) Paramount could have simply emulated Marvel's original G.I.Joe comic book far more affordably, which would have allowed respectable characterizations for real actors and fun action. Remember the good ol' days of Luc Besson or John McTiernan?
But no, instead we're "treated" to another random catalog of overwrought CG nonsense. and Marlon Wayans for you JarJar fans. Thankfully better summer movies will make up for this misfire (Star Trek, Terminator, Public Enemies)
