The Darkest Minds What Happens Next Trailer (2018)

Special trailer for The Darkest Minds gives added focus on the evolving romantic relationship between Ruby (Amandla Stenberg) and Liam (Amandla Stenberg).

The books definitely follow a long story arc involving our two lovers put on display here. It would seem that the film's are not shying away from that part of the story. So will this be an accurate adaptation? We can only hope, but looking through the credits there are definitely some er, interesting changes.

Having read all The Darkest Minds books, I can say that the franchise is for sure a solid B. I can think of a number of better options, but maybe the films can improve on what the books were lacking.

In short, there are some things that take a bit of a stretch of the imagination for sure, so it will be interesting to see how the film(s) attempt to approach this.
