Sicario: Day of the Soldado Theatrical Trailer (2018)
Theatrical Trailer for Sicario: Day of the Soldado, starring Benicio Del Toro, Josh Brolin, Isabela Moner, Jeffrey Donovan and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.
In Sicario: Day of the Soldado, the series begins a new chapter. In the drug war, there are no rules – and as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border, federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) calls on the mysterious Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro), whose family was murdered by a cartel kingpin, to escalate the war in nefarious ways. Alejandro kidnaps the kingpin’s daughter to inflame the conflict – but when the girl is seen as collateral damage, her fate will come between the two men as they question everything they are fighting for
While it's nice to have Benicio Del Toro back as our original Sicario, the rumor is that the film will actually provide more attention to not only Josh Brolin's character, Matt Graver, but the little girl played by Isabela Moner. The role was so big for the actress -- who you may recognize from Transformers: The Last Knight -- that she had to chop her hair into a pixie cut. Not letting the hair go to waste, she donated it.
So. Excited. For this movie. It's amazing that, considering how good and violent the first movie was, that this sequel constantly promises to up the ante. And now we get a good understanding of why. When Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) demands a young girl killed, Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro) shows his more compassionate side.
Unfortunately for the US strike team, that compassion means blood.
Love it, and the whole idea that there is a large grey of who the real good guy is.
