Trailer for Sicario 2: Soldado, a follow-up to the 2015 film, Sicario, which centers around the escalating war against drugs along the border of the United States and Mexico.

Taylor Sheridan returns to write the script for Sicario 2: Soldado, he also wrote the script for the first film. Since then he has written scripts for two other films: Hell of HIgh Water and Wind River.

While the accomplished Denis Villeneuve was the Director for the first film, a bit of a newcomer will helm this sequel, Stefano Sollima. He has directed just two other feature films (Suburra and A.C.A.B.) and some TV Series.

Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro are back and this time they are hunting down terrorists. I loved these two in the first film. It is perfect roles for them and I am excited to see what lengths they go to in order to protect the United States.

With that being said I am nervous how the film will come across without the central character Kate Macer (Emily Blunt) from the first film. And we all know that sequels fairly live up to their first counterpart, so I am not expecting the thrill ride we got in the first film, plus without Denis Villeneuve's vision this film could be a dud.
