He finds himself living with Jacob, an elderly holocaust survivor whose odd habits include hoarding compulsively and anonymously attending funerals. Living with Jacob, a survivor like his grandmother, forces Gil to confront his unresolved feelings against the German people. Things only get worse when the one girl he takes interest in turns out to be German.
