Feature Trailer for J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

In 1926, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) arrives at the Magical Congress of the United States of America for a meeting with an important official. At this meeting is a magically expanded briefcase, which houses a number of dangerous creatures and their habitats. When the creatures escape from the briefcase, it sends the American wizarding authorities after Newt.

The situation threatens to strain even further the state of magical and non-magical relations, which is already in a dangerous place, due to the threatening presence of the fanatical New Salem Philanthropic Society, an extremist organization dedicated to the eradication of wizard-kind. Newt battles to correct the mistake, and the horrors of the resultant increase in violence, fear, and tension felt between magical and non-magical peoples.

Warner Bros. has said that the series would eventually be a trilogy. The second film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2 is already in the planning phase. It is set to be released in 2018 and will star Zoë Kravitz with David Yates also as the Director.

The film is a spin-off rather than a sequel or prequel to the Harry Potter film series.

There were several other actors considered for some of the roles. Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne was the top choice for the lead role of Newt Scamander, but Matt Smith and Nicholas Hoult were also considered. For the role of Queenie (plyed by Alison Sudol), the studio considered Saoirse Ronan, Dakota Fanning and Lili Simmons. For the role of Queenie's older sister, Porpentina Goldstein, the choice was betweem Kate Upton, Katherine Waterston, and Elizabeth Debicki before Katherine was finally chosen. Michael Cera was considered for the role of Jacob (Dan Fogler) but passed on this film role to voice the animated The Lego Batman Movie.

Now that is a fantastical trailer. Up until now we have not seen too much of the fantasy world of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and this Feature Trailer gives a great look into the world J.K. Rowling has created for her Harry Potter fans.

The trailer is a bit overwhelming with so much going on and introducing so many new elements. It takes many many viewing to even catch everything Warner Bros. has crammed into just over two and half minutes of footage.

All I can say if WOW! This trailer has me even more pumped to see this and I cannot wait until it hits theaters on November 18th!
