In a future where most of the planet Earth is a desert, aliens visit and help humanity rebuild by giving technology. One of the nano-technologies has a side effect on carbon based life, re-animating dead tissue, creating zombies. With the aliens gone, it's up to humanity to use the new tools to beat the zombies or join them. However, there's an evil mind with a most sinister plan on the horizon.
