Annabelle Trailer (2014)

Trailer for Annabelle.

A spin-off of The Conjuring, Annabelle follows the demonic doll. Video shows how the doll came into being through one violent crime.

Don't know if we can call this fact fun or not, but Annabelle is a real doll that was investigated by the Warrens; search "the real Annabelle" to find a photo of the doll.

The doll was purchased by Angie for her daughter Donna. After bringing the doll home, weird occurrences begun right away. At first the doll seemed to switch positions, then move about the room and then the house when nobody was looking. To make this story more creepy, Angie began to find notes around the house with either "Help Us" or "Help Lou" written on them; notes she assumed were from the doll.

What put Angie over the edge however was when she found what looked to be human blood on the doll. At this point she contacted a medium who discovered that the doll was possessed by the spirit of Annabelle Higgins, a young girl whose body was found in the same area. Taking pity, Angie allowed the doll to stay.

After an attack on Lou by the doll it was decided, with the help of the Warrens, that a demonic presence was just pretending to be Annabelle and was hoping to possess a human host. The doll now sits in the glass case linked above.

While the trailer has a running time far longer than many theatrical previews, the clip comes off as a teaser in its introduction to the creation of the title character. Pretty strong start for a horror spin-off.
