Film is an unusual bromance (dare we say crowmance?) between a taciturn Costa Rican security guard and his beloved bantam. Chalo is a night watchman in a broken-down warehouse that houses no visible wares. He spends his time trying to fix the TV antenna and sleeping on the job. His nagging boss assigns him a loco partner who tells Bible stories and ponders the Cosmos. Candy, the friendly housemaid next door, tries to cut him in on her Avon sales. Chalo eats and sleeps with—and dreams about—his newly-acquired rooster, Rocky. He has plans to turn Rocky into a champion fighter—if only life wouldn’t keep getting in the way.
