Now the first Equalizer film grossed just over $100 Million at the box office, not a huge success but not a failure. They are hoping to raise that even further with this sequel.

To say that I am shocked that they made a sequel to The Equalizer is an understatement. I did not see this coming. And then finding out that after such an amazing career for Denzel Washington that this is the first sequel of his career is almost more shocking.

While I enjoyed the first film, I was not blown away like some people. What I liked is how they use what seems like an everyday guy to completely kick ass...similar to John Wick, Taken and Jack Reacher. With that said I did not think Equalizer was on the same level as these films, but still quite enjoyable. It will be interesting to see what they have for us in this sequel.
