The Equalizer 2 Theatrical Trailer (2018)

Theatrical trailer for The Equalizer 2.

Robert McCall learns that one of his longtime friends, Susan, has been murdered. McCall decides to return to his old ways and seek out, find and punish the perpetrators.

As crazy as this might sound, considering just how many films Denzel Washington has been in, Equalizer 2 is the actor's first ever sequel. And he's not the only one. Director Antoine Fuqua has never directed a sequel to one of his own films, so this is a first for him as well.

You have to wonder if Lyft is okay with the idea that one of their drivers out their might be a rogue assassin. Wonder what the price was to get that sort of permission. Or did Lyft pay the studio for the nod? The Equalizer 2 trailer kicks off with Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) working as a Lyft driver. A job that seems to allow the character plenty of opportunity to find redemption.

And that's strictly for strangers. What do criminals think will happen when you mess with one of his own? The good news is, it seems that Robert has no problem using guns this time. Because the whole idea of him passing up a real weapon in favor of a nail gun in the first installment was just stupid.
