A titan of industry Michelle Darnell (Melissa McCarthy) is sent to prison after she's caught for insider trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America's latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget.
If you can believe it or not, the film was actually originally titled Michelle Darnell, after the title character played by Melissa McCarthy.
Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone are married in real life and seem to like working together. This will mark the second time the couple has written a film together with Ben Falcone at the helm as the Director. The first film was Tammy. Another similarities between these two films is that not only does Ben like to play a small role but Oscar winning Actress Kathy Bates also plays a small role in both films.
Like I have said before, nothing like showing a Red Band Trailer in order to give a different feel for the film. This trailer is nothing like other 3 we have previously seen. Since, it is a red band it can show much more of the adult humor, especially the all the foul language used by those sweet little Girl Scouts.
I was less than impressed from all the footage already shown, but this new trailer may have given this film a chance for me. Although, this seems to still be a little over the top of a real life situation, I could not help but laugh at most of the trailer. Looks like they are not holding anything back in this film and I just hope they did give away all the funny part and leave some stuff for the film. I would say this is a Digital Download for me and will skip seeing it in the theaters.
