Trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story that was released to Japanese markets. Preview is shorter than the domestic trailer, but does show some never before seen footage that might supply some new SPOILERS about the film.

International trailers have a tendency to be darker than domestic releases, which definitely seems the case for this latest condensed trailer for Rogue One. While many had fears that the film's re-shoots would attempt to make the film more er, "family friendly," it still looks far darker than any Star Wars installment to come before it.

My only complaint about this latest of what we can assume many new trailers and TV spots for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is its length. Using a slightly different formula from the trailer we witnessed during the Rio Olympics, the preview out of Japan is slightly darker and seems to suggest a possible downer ending. Or at least an ending that sets up story points in other Star Wars films.

Since fans of properties such as Star Wars and Game of Thrones are absolutely terrified -- and downright hateful -- of spoilers, it should be warned (again) that there is one bit of dialogue that gives a bit more backstory than some would probably like on one of the characters.

Other than that, enjoy what should be the beginning of tons of Rogue One updates now that summer is wrapping up.
