This is the fourth live action Star Wars film to include AT-AT walkers, with the first being Episode V during the assault on Hoth, the second in Episode VI on Endor, and the third in Episode VII being an immobilized unit on Jakku.

There is a long list of actors rumored to be attached this film: Joel Edgerton, Dominic West, Mark Strong, Taylor Kitsch, Joel Kinnaman, Sam Worthington, Charlie Hunnam, Aaron Paul, Edgar Ramírez Sam Claflin and Gerard Butler.

Forest Whitaker character is Saw Gerrera, a veteran from the Clone Wars. The character first appeared on Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) during the 5th season. This will also be the first time in the Star Wars franchise that a character created for an animated series (Star Wars Clone Wars) will appear on a live action film.

I was excited when I heard we would get a new trailer today and this one did not disappoint. We got loads of new footage and an even greater sense of the film.

This trailer played perfectly into the hands of both the super fans and the people who may not be too familiar with the Star Wars franchise, if such a people still exist. The Rogue One trailer does a great job at explaining the relationship between Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and her father Galen (Mads Mikkelsen). We not only get to see how the two are separated, but the major plot point that it is in fact her father that ends up helping build the Death Star, though against his will. Which then leads us to the whole point of the film [spoiler alert], giving an idea on how the Rebellion are able to get their hands on the Death Star plans, which eventually allows them to destroy it in A New Hope.

This is a great all around trailer for Rogue One since it does an excellent job of introducing all the characters, a sense of story direction, and action to boot. Vast majority of Star Wars fans (myself included) will see this film no matter what trailer Disney releases, but it is those "other" people who they must convince to spend their money and go to a theater.

For me, this should be the final trailer and I do not need to see anymore. I know they will still have to market this film as we get closer to the December release date. But, please Disney...do not show too much...a marketing move The Force Awakens excelled at.
