Director Jon Watts is stepping into new territory with this mega blockbuster film. He only has previous experience directing two feature films: Clown and Cop Car.

Since Spider-Man was rebooted in 2002 there have been 3 different Directors, 3 Different actors playing Peter Parker and 3 different Actresses playing Mary Parker. And all of these different sets were aligned for the same films (Except Director in Marvel Cinematic Universe):

Director
Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004) & Spider-Man 3 (2007) -- Sam Raimi
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) & The Amazing Spider-Man 2(2014) -- Marc Webb

Peter Parker
Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004) & Spider-Man 3 (2007) -- Tobey Maguire
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) & The Amazing Spider-Man 2(2014) -- Andrew Garfield
Captain America: Civil War (2016) & Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) -- Tom Holland

Mary Parker
Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004) & Spider-Man 3 (2007) -- Rosemary Harris
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) & The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) -- Sally Field
Captain America: Civil War (2016) & Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) -- Marisa Tomei

I had been looking forward to this trailer for a long time. Ever since seeing Tom Holland make an appearance in Captain America: Civil War I could not wait to see what he could do in Spider-Man: Homecoming. And he does not disappoint.

The opening scene of the trailer is brilliant with the robbers all wearing Avengers masks. It sure sets the tone for how much comedy there will be in this film. Tom Holland's Spider-Man has a Tony Stark edge to him so what better mentor is there than Iron Man himself. I mean come one...Tony Stark trying to give Spider-Man advice on how to become an Avenger and how to be responsible is great.

This trailer was a great kickoff to get people, me included, pumped to see it. Plus we get Michael Keaton as the villain, The Vulture. Did anyone else think that finally Riggan got become a real "Birdman". Cannot wait!
