Trailer for Peter Berg's Patriots Day.

In the aftermath of an unspeakable attack, Police Sergeant Tommy Saunders (Mark Wahlberg) joins courageous survivors, first responders and investigators in a race against the clock to hunt down the bombers before they strike again. Weaving together the stories of Special Agent Richard DesLauriers (Kevin Bacon), Police Commissioner Ed Davis (John Goodman), Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese (J.K. Simmons) and nurse Carol Saunders (Michelle Monaghan) this visceral and unflinching chronicle captures the suspense of one of the most sophisticated manhunts in law enforcement history and celebrates the strength of the people of Boston.

Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg both love their historical movies based on real life events. This will be the third movie the two have worked together on that are based on a true story. The other two were Lone Survivor and Deepwater Horizon.

There is another movie coming out in 2017 too that is based on the Boston Marathon bombing, Stronger. It is Directed by David Gordon Green and stars Jake Gyllenhaal.

Mark Wahlberg is a true Boston native. He was born in Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, MA

Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg seem to have a good thing going. I really liked Lone Survivor and even though I have yet to see Deepwater Horizon, it looks good.

The Boston Marathon bombing was a horrible and tragic event. I remember seeing it on the news and I was horrified. After watching this trailer, which feels more like a teaser, and still leary on how they will get a whole movie out of the one event.

Everyone knows what happened and how it happened, so it will be interesting to see how many drawn out parts there are to turn this into a feature or if the movie will somehow keep moving through plot points. I am waiting for another trailer before making a decision to see this in theaters or wait for On Demand.
