The four stars of this film Adam Devine, Zac Efron, Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza are quite the intertwined group of real life friends and have worked together on numerous previous films:

Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick are actually best friends in real life. Previously, they have acted together in Life After Beth (2014) and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010).

Anna Kendrick and Adam DeVine wokred together in both Pitch Perfect (2012) and Pitch Perfect 2 (2015).

Zac Efron and Aubrey Plaza recently starred together in Dirty Grandpa (2016).

With comedies like Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, you really never know how the actual film will turn out because you are always wondering if they have shown all the funny parts in the trailer. And, on this one I get that feeling. Zac Efron sure is trying to show is comedic side of recent. His last comedic role was Neighbors,  and if you can believe it, he has 3 comedies come out in 2016: Dirty Grandpa, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.

I do think they did a great job with the casting of this film. You can actually believe that Adam Devine and Zac Efron could be brothers in real life and I think they will bring a great comedy duo with Adam carry the major load. Adam is kind of like a Kevin Hart, in that he can make almost anyone next to him on screen seem funny. And, then you have the dates...being real life friends Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza already have a great chemistry and Aubrey always does a great job at playing that seductive bad girl role!
