Trailer for John Wick: Chapter Two, starring Keanu Reeves, Common, Riccardo Scamarcio and Laurence Fishburne.

In this next chapter following the 2014 hit, legendary hitman John Wick [Keanu Reeves] is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.

On the day the Pit Bull ban was passed in Montreal, Lionsgate responded with the first promotional photo from the film. In it we seeing John Wick walking with, you guessed it, his Pit Bull. Coincidence? We like to think not.

Chapter Two should (hopefully) be the next step in a trilogy. If there is one thing Keanu Reeves knows, it's trilogies. Hopefully this trilogy will not be a constant slide downhill from the original. And, speaking of The Matrix, it should be noted that the film's director, Chad Stahelski, appeared in the Matrix films as a stuntman.

And, just in case you needed another link for six degrees of separation, you will note that John Wick: Chapter Two is the first film to feature both Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne since The Matrix Revolutions.

It is said the Keanu Reeves did even more tactical combat training for this second Wick installment. The training allowed him to realistically use multiple weapons in close range settings.

Like there was any chance of the John Wick: Chapter 2 trailer disappointing. Seeing Keanu Reeves get fitted out for a stylish suit, all while requesting that it be tailored with "tactical" in mind. Awesome. I also appreciate the quick cameo by Peter Serafinowicz, who you might remember as Aldo, the Roman agent in Spy. Is it coincidence that Aldo is still in Rome, making this a smart joke on the genre? Hard to say, but liking the cameo just the same.

I've always love a trailer that finds a way to mix action with classical music. John Wick: Chapter 2 is no exception. There literally isn't a single sequence in this preview that is not pretty damn cool. Even the neon title cards, fantastic. While there was a bit of a driving stunt sequence near the end of the first installment, it looks like the sequel will possibly provide more of that as well. In short, tons of stunts to be had.

On a final note, seeing John Wick enter a hotel lobby with his Pit Bull off leash only to be greeted by a familiar character welcoming him back... Yes please.
