Feature Trailer for The Angry Birds Movie.

In the 3D animated comedy, The Angry Birds Movie, we'll finally find out why the birds are so angry.

The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis, We're the Millers, Horrible Bosses), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad in his first animated role since Frozen), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride, This is the End, Eastbound and Down) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.

The Angry Birds Movie is based on hit phone app. Since the app was released in 2009, the Angry Birds game has been downloaded more than one billion times across all versions and platforms of mobile devices. The Angry Birds game reported to earn just under $200 million in revenue for 2012!

This is the third film Josh Gad and Peter Dinklage have worked together. The first was Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) and the second was Pixels (2015).

We finally get to see more footage and a little better understanding on how they will turn this app into a feature film. The story line of how the pigs steal their eggs and then it is up to Red (Jason Sudeikis) to lead the charge to get them back is much more apparent. When I first heard they were making this film, I could not imagine how they could turn an app that I had played into a feature film, and now I can see that. So, this third trailer did a great job at furthering along my interest in the film, but I am still weary and hesitant that this will be too cheesy, a mess and lack depth. It feels like it will be a fun laugh and a movie that adults can take their children to and still have a good time.
