Best graphic novelI have to say this is simply the best graphic novel out there. It's incredibly well written and very complex. Let's hope the movie can keep up with the complexity.
BTW great trailer, don't see a new ending here, it seems exactly as in the graphic novel (except for the fact that they're calling themselves "watchmen")

WatchmenBest graphic novel ever, filled with inspired well written characters that live full and complex lives. The story line is as brilliant a piece of fiction that has ever been imagined every frame pulls you in a little more. BUY A COPY AND STRAP YOURSELF IN....Good Luck to Warner Brothers,

AwesomeI really like this trailer. It did what the last one did but more. this makes me even more excited to see it. Also, I'm not sure what some of you are talking about with a "new" ending, everything I saw in this trailer more or less happened in the book...

hurm indeedKSChris ,
When did they ever use the term Watchmen to describe themselves in the book? I am well aware of the origins of the phrase. It was a derogatory term used by the public during the riots before the Keene Act was signed in '77. It just seems that using the term "watchmen" is dumbing it down for a general audience.
Also, I know where the nuke happens in the book. That wasn't what I was talking about.

Like It!!!Well... i think it looks great, even with the music from the second half, but after the fourth watch, you get used to it.
by funkyjawa | November 14, 2008, 9:29AM
first songThe first song, btw, way "Pruit Igoe" by Philip Glass.
by andy.minor | November 14, 2008, 6:19AM
herm.I agree.
Music lacked punch in second half.
Muse is great, skipping... not so much.
Confirmed new ending?
Probably not.

erichansaI didn\'t know that Watchmen would be featured in the new James Bond movie (dugg anyway despite the great digg title)

HmmI love Muse but I don't think it was a good song choice for this trailer. I especially hated how it kept skipping around to different parts of the song. It was painfully obvious and pulled me out of the experience. Otherwise it was 'fair'.
by KSChris | November 13, 2008, 9:32PM
AwesomeThe trailer did not confirm the new ending.. the explosion is in the book as well, about halfway through. It's a dream sequence. And ODV, what do you mean why did they call themselves "Watchmen"? It's from a latin phrase which translates to "Who watches the watchmen?", "Who watches the watchers?", "Who will guard the guards?", "Who shall watch the watchers themselves?"
Overall, I think this is a much better trailer. To non-comic fans it gives a clear understanding of the plot, whereas the first trailer was pretty ambiguous. The music is also a nice touch. The first half is ominous, and it kicks in with Muse's "Take a Bow" in the second half. I like it.

music suckedI think the music in the second half was terrible. The first part was pretty good. This trailer also confirmed the new ending. Not good.
by flabbybuns | November 13, 2008, 8:26PM
Don't Think SoThe only reason I can see why this isn't considered as good is because of the poor music choice this time around.
by ODV | November 13, 2008, 8:06PM
could have been betterA bit disappointed. Why did they call themselves "Watchmen"? Kinda defeats the purpose of the book.
by Dewback | November 13, 2008, 8:00PM
meh...the first trailer was a lot better than this.
by flabbybuns | November 13, 2008, 5:14PM
