so that's 2 minutes of overly colorful schmalz that makes me want to barf candy hearts and 31 seconds of comedy that I appreciated ... i'm gonna go for 'no'.

Ill representation

I dunno, maybe it's too early to call, but I remember that book, and it seemed like the world without the trees was bleak, grimy, and gray compared to the ecstatic colors of the forest where the Lorax lived. Ted's neighborhood is too colorful and optimistic, it doesn't reflect the mood of the book. They're softening the blow of the environmental theme, and that can't go unsaid.
