There is a new round of protest from Asian students of South Philadelphia High School after a teacher has launched a project called STOP THE BULLYING.

The teacher, whose identity is being withheld by the school, is identified with only the initials LOL. In response to the initial protest from Asian students against black on Asian bullying in the school, the principal has put teacher Mr. LOL in charge of educating the students about racial tolerance and finding ways to stop school bullying.

But tension between the Asian and black student has increased dramatically instead of decreasing since Mr. LOL was in charge of the project.

The Asian students complained that the teacher LOL, who is an African American and a known fan of Will Smith for the T-shirt he often wears, has forced them to watch a trailer of the movie The Karate Kid (2010) with the black students who booed at the scene of Chinese kids attacking a black kid, cheered when the black kid kicked the Chinese kids down with Kung Fu and some of the male students ogled at the female Asian students during the romantic scene of the black kid with a Chinese girl.

Adding insult to injures, the teacher LOL has also forced the Asian students to take part in a play called IT COULD HAVE BEEN ANYBODY in which the Asian student victims who were beaten up by black bullies in school had to play the part of bullies in the play and the black students who had taken part in the attack of the Asian students were assigned the role of victims of bullying in the play.

The Asian students said in the play they were ordered by the teacher LOL to kick at a black mannequin dressing up as a student representing the victim of bullying.

In the final scene the Asian students who were real victims of bullying in the school were forced by the teacher LOL to bow down then apologize to the actual black bullies who beat them up earlier this year. The Asian students said the teacher LOL forced them to do so by claiming that the play is part of his STOP THE BULLYING project and that any student who refused to take part will automatically fail in social affair studies as well as having detention. An Asian student called Simon who refused to take part in the play has become a spokesperson for challenging the travesty of justice brought about by the teacher LOL.

In response to the accusation that he was a black racist who put salt on the wounds of the Asian students who were bullied by the black students, Mr. LOL defended his actions during an interview by saying:
"Really, this is what you saw in this play, really people? Your tripping over pebbles and missing everything around you. What's really ignorant is that so many fail to understand what the play is about. So caught up on the race of a particular character your blind to what's right in front of you."

"IT COUND HAVE BEEN ANYBODY is the title of the play", Mr. LOL said, "This story could have happened anywhere with any race of people, and probably has. It is the small minded arrogance of a few in power that believe, or want us to believe, that their race, culture or whatever group they are associating with this play, are perfect and would never act as such. Now there's a real fairytale. Bad and good exist everywhere without exception."
"My decision to assign Asian students as bullies and black students as victims of bullying in the play is a bold manifestation of my belief that the bullies and victims could have been any race and anybody. Besides I did not force the Asian students to act out the bullying on real actors but on a black mannequin only and I taught all the students a good lesson with the play that if they have done something wrong, they should apologize for their wrongful acts. What's wrong with teaching students about apologizing for their wrongful acts of bullying?", Mr. LOL continued to defend his much criticized action of reversing the role of bullies and victims in the play with the astuteness of a cunning politician.

In response to LOL’s comments, the Asian student spokesperson Simon says, "Mr. LOL, you try to justify your perverted racist actions in your so-called STOP THE BULLYING project with your deceptive arguments and flaunting analysis which cannot stand in the context of the reality of Black on Asian bullying that is undermining the integrity of our school.

You are a racist hypocrite who feels no shame in adding insults to injuries to a racial group which has been bullied by members of your own race. If your black son were a real victim of bullying by a white student, I don’t think you would have forced your son to play the part of a bully in a play and then forced him to apologized to the white bully who had beaten up your son in real life as part of the play.

Your apparent broadmindedness is but a pretentious display to justify your grossly racist and perverted actions in ignoring the problem of black on Asian bullying which is the most serious bullying problem facing our school at present time.

Really, this is what you saw in this movie, really people? Your tripping over pebbles and missing everything around you. What's really ignorant is that so many fail to understand what the story is about. So caught up on the race of a particular character your blind to what's right in front of you. This is really simple, you should be ashamed, but for the slow I will break it down.

A boy, could be any boy, is an outsider and because he has no male figure, for whatever reason, in his life has under developed areas of his personality.
A mother, could be any mother, is trying to raise him alone and dealing with the hardships that come with such a task.
This is setting the scene for our character to overcome many internal struggles he has been dealing with. ( plot point )
The boy is put in a new place with no friends, isolating him and taking away the comfort zones he usually hides in forcing him to change.
To further challenge the boy he is bullied and ridiculed to make his new home both uncomfortable and hostile.
Then there is the isolated teacher, a master who has his own demons to deal with, and a wealth of knowledge to share.
These two bond as friends and help each other overcome their struggles, in the course of their actions they also change the hearts of an enemy into a friend.

This is a story of the human spirit, how we overcome together what might have been impossible alone.
This story could have happen anywhere with any race of people, and probably has.
It is the small minded arrogance of a few in power that believe, or want us to believe, that their race, culture or whatever group they are associating with this movie, are perfect and would never act as such. Now there's a real fairytale. Bad and good exist everywhere without exception. Editing out a kiss! They are like 13 years old. what are they afraid every little Chinese girl will have to run out and kiss a little black boy. What does that say about you cutting edge views? You excel at ignorance with a fury rarely seen. Ignorance, just like intelligence, comes in all colors and at every financial level regardless of background or education.
Many times in this same movie we were shown the positive as well as the negative. For anyone really watching you will see as with most groups of people there are always far more good than bad, the bad just always make the most noise. By editing the content that provides the emotional drive for the main character to change, you ruin what is a great story and leave your audience unsatisfied and a bit confused. It's no different than when the damsel is taken in a karate flick, or a village destroyed to move a revolutionary. These are the catalyst that cause a much needed change. This is what makes people stand up for something and realize what's really at stake. By judging some of the comments here, we as a human race are still fearful and ignorant and have so far to go. I always want to believe we are more evolved than this, it's so disappointing.

I'm done, this is almost as ridiculous as when I heard people trying to associate Harry Potter with the devil. Stupid to the point of being hilarious.

Even though I agree with Bipin Rai that “Power would shift to the East, and all Hollywood would have nothing more than propagandistic fantasies” I disagree that the way for the Asians to deal with the rise of black racism against both the white and Asians is for all Asians to go back to the East.

First of all, it is only western propagandistic fantasies that Christopher Columbus discovered America regardless of whether the Vikings or the Asians came here first.
Judging from the features of the American Indians, I do see a mix of Asian and European. So both group could have come to settle in America in pre-historic times and became the America Indians.

However, as DNA evidence proves that that all humans came from Africa, so people with indigenous African ethnicity may also claim that the distant relatives of their ancestors came to America first regardless of whether the Vikings or Asians came to America first..

It is estimated that there were between 10 to100 million native American Indians in America when Christopher Columbus discovered America.

WOW, Some people have some really twisted perspectives on Will Smith and his son. Some comments are pure stupid and low class, . Look, the movie was GREAT and it has pulled in 56 million. It is pathetic that the black racists think they are doing the black kids good by giving them idols of black heroes who use violence against the other races often by vilifying the other races by pure fabrication to justify their violent acts.

Google "Black on Asian crime" and you can see a long lists of violent crimes committed by blacks on Asians such as robbing and murdering Asian older men and women and raping and assaulting young Asian women.
However, if you google "Asian on Black crimes" you will see that the websites that come up are practically the same as "Black on Asian crimes". There is no Asian on Black crime to report, so the websites are still about Black on Asian crimes only.

The reality is that the blacks are committing violent crimes against the law-abiding Asians in an alarming rate yet the mass media whores obsequious to blacks are covering up such violent crimes.

I was once robbed by two black criminals who choked me so hard that I passed out and my throat got injured. A black police officer asked me to describe the robbers after I reported the crime to the police. I gave a general description of the robbers and saw him write down the description. However, when I mentioned that the two robbers were black, I saw that he did not write it down. When I repeated that they were black, the black police officer said that’s irrelevant.

The cover up is not only in Black on Asian crime only, there is cover up in "Black on Hispanic crime" as well. Just last year two brothers who were Hispanic immigrants were beaten by a group of black thugs in Brooklyn after the black thugs made anti-Hispanic racial slurs at them. One of them managed to escape, the other one was beaten to death when one of the black thugs hit him on the head with a baseball bat because the black thugs thought the two brothers were gay couples. The New York times was so racist that it reported the case without mentioning the race of the thugs who attacked the two Hispanic men. I thought it was committed by whites until I saw the location was in Brooklyn and confirmed that it was Black on Hispanic hate crime by getting the information on the internet.

Aren't there enough blacks put in jail for committing violent crimes already?

I can see Will Smith’s possible motives of using a fabricated story that instill hatred against little Chinese boys in a movie to shift the hatred of the Americans against the radical Arab or Pakistani Muslims who have killed or tried to kill Americans in real life to against the little scapegoats in China. That’s why Will Smith went on television to persuade the Americans not to hate Muslims after some Arab Muslims murdered about 3,000 American civilians on 9/11 but then devotes so much money and effort to fabricate hatred against the little boys of the Chinese who did nothing remotely as evil as those radical Arab or Pakistani Muslim did to the Americans.

What Will Smith presents to the black kids in his movie is essentially a false sense of black supremacy ( I don’t believe in white or Asian supremacy either) and temporary euphoria based on fantasy of sex and violence. It’s kind of like drugs for the black kids who don’t want to study hard in school. Even though the racists who create the movie disguise the insidious message of violence and hate against the Chinese boys by scripting in apparent friendship between the black Kung Fu (not Karate) student and an old Chinese Kung Fu masters and the teen romance between the black kid and a pretty Chinese girl, the message of violence and hate is just too much to camouflaged. We know that in the animal world a male lion which is strong enough to defeat the dominant male of another pride will kill the cubs of the pride and then mate with the female lions.
Is it possible that an aging male lion, realizing that it is too old to fight the dominant male from another pride, so instead of fighting to defend the cubs in the pride, it teams up with the invading male lion to kill it’s own cubs and young male lions so that it will be allowed to survive as a ‘winner’ in the pride by the new dominant male lion which now takes the young female lions. As lions are wild animals, I don’t think any old male lion is capable of such a treacherous act and I don’t think any invading male lion would like to team up with such a traitor that offers to help the invading male lion to kill it’s own cubs and young male lions. However, I see that some human lowlifes glorify something similar to that and feel no shame about it at all.

This remake is wrong on so many levels. Racist, degrading, insensitive, smug, Afrocentric..
All in all just total crap. Not only does it do diservice to the original Karate Kid, but also to both the Japanese and Chinese people. The original Karate Kid was wonderful not only because of the nobel and low key portrayal by Pat Morita and Ralph Macchio, but the story was believable. We could all feel his pain. In contrast, this Karate kid does not come off as the underdog, but arrogant and smug. Sorry but ego-filled Jaden Smith can't act. If it weren't for his father...
Anyways, when was the last time one has even heard of a BLACK kid having to fight and defend themselvs against a Chinese kid, let alone practicing martial arts (a Japanese one no less), in or out of China? Rev Michael, you are too ignorant to realize that it is only justified to depict a certain race as a bully against another one in a movie if there is certain historic fact to back it up.
You shouldn’t make a movie about the rise of America depicting some black people as illegal immigrants who sneaked into this country to steal from white people and murdering them as it is a perversion against historical fact nor should anyone one make a movie depicting Chinese boys as bullies against a black kid as it is not something that is prevalent in China nor has any such case been reported.

The new Karate Kid is yet another black racist movie by the insidious racist Will Smith after Men in Black (inciting the shooting of little white girl by vilifying her image as alien monster in disguise) and Hancock (white kid being vilified as bully and punched sky high by Hancock).

So now Will Smith even brings his son into his world of hate by making up another racist story that vilify the Chinese boys as bullies against a black kid (Will Smith's son) so that he can play hero by beating up the Chinese boys using Chinese Kung Fu.

Historically, the Chinese were bullied by the Japanese, the originator of Karate, and unlike the Europeans and white Americans, the Chinese people did not have a history of bullying the black people at all.

Yet in Will Smith’s made-up story of The Karate Kid, not only the new generation of the Chinese people are vilified as bullies, the movie brings further contempt to the Chinese by calling the black kid The Karate Kid even though what he leaned is Chinese Kung Fu. Essentially, it promotes the insidious notion that the Japanese has beaten the Chinese in their own game besides promoting Will Smith’s insidious racist message against children who are not black.

the first karate kid was great. i am a fan of the original. i am excited to see this one, it looks gr8. I lost it abit over the years for the original though, when i realized that1) the original karate kid was not a kid but a 24yr old MAN and 2) The actor did not know karate, nor did he perform any of it in the movie.

Karate Kid 2010 will be one of the of best movies of all times. It has all of the right elements; Martial Arts, Nature, A Master of Martial Arts, a geat up and coming Super Star, incredible locations, Kids, Awesome life priniciples that will make you a better and more peaceful person, a USA citizen from Detroit holding his own in China which is a very beautiful Country and most of all lessons on how to face your fears. I'm predicting this movie will be number one for a long time. Hats off to Jackie and Jaden, based on the trailer this movie. is going to take your careers up several notches. What a great choice for a remake. By the way I'm a huge fan of the original Karate Kid.

I have to admit that when I first heard about this project, I was pretty skeptical and didn't think it could be pulled off. After watching the trailer I've changed my mind. Looks like they did a pretty good job with it. As for all the haters who are putting down the fact that he got the role because of his father, I say who cares as long as he does a good job. You certainly can't make a decision on his performance based on a two minute clip.

The thing is, the movie doesn't look too bad. They shuold of just had the movie come out without any association to the Karate Kid movies-you just can't have a Karate Kid movie without the OG Mr Miyagi, no matter how much you like Jacky Chan

Looks really stupid. I mean the whole idea of remaking The Karate Kid is just plain stupid. The original is a classic and shouldn't be messed with. I cant believe they hired Will Smith's son for this role. Well, the movie is made by Sony and Will Smith is producing this movie so I guess that's how hes son got the part.
