Kato Fan
For those that say Jay Chao isn't expressive enough, weel, it's an asian thing - Jay is very asian cool, It's a cultural thing. Sorry it doesn't work for everybidy. I am Eurasian so I understand ithere's a bit of "Lost In Translation" going on here. I do think his English could be better. On another note, I like Seth but he gets obnoxious, I'm kind of glad Kato kicks his a-- in the movie, becuase I wanted too in real life. I like Seth Rogen but if I had hin as a friend everntually I would have to kick his a-- too.

I've been waiting for this one!!!
For years I have been saying that Hollywood should do the Green Hornet. Actually I thought of it as a Batman sequel film. A Batman vs. The Green Hornet movie based on the one episode in the 60's when the crime fighters squared off. I think that there would be so many ways to make that work. That would be an awesome sequel to this film if it's a sucess.

@poor: Why is it that guys like you always find a way to judge something before it ever happens?! Can you explain that, because if you can't thyen don't bother writing bullsh#t ass comments. You give movie lovers like us a bad name!!!!!

the car
ok i may be a little biased, owning a black on black 66 chrysler imperial lebaron. but i cant wait for this movie to come out.

Poor
Seth is a joke. They should have picked Pierce Bronson someone who is at least serious and handsome. The Green Hornet in the 60's was handsome and rich. Also the Green Hornet always sits in the back of the car when he rides with Kato (Kato does the driving). As far as who plays Kato any chinese guy will do.

Cautiously awaiting Reviews
Jay Chou looks uninterested in this film. I'd rather they went and got someone like Donnie Yen or Rain or John Terry or even a talented unknown who would be excited to be there.

Seth Rogen is rumored to love the TV show so hopefully they'll do it justice. It is hit or miss for me with Seth.

Unfortunately, I think Bruce Lee might rise up from his grave and kick Jay Chou's ass so he has some sense of expression on his face.

Jay Chou bad choice
I am not sold on Jay Chou playing as Kato. The only thing he has to bruce lee is being asian and slim. He’s acting is bad and so are the roles he’d played before. What we have here is a bad casting to play Kato. I believe the reason why Jay Chou was chosen is that they wanted to gain a hugh support from the young asian culture market. Seth Rogen as “Britt Reid” might be able to pull it off. Maybe there trying to do something like “Rush Hour”. Where we thinking it was going to be a action pack movie but ended up being a comedy. Who knows, it might just be a blockbuster hit and Jay Chou PULLS IT OFF!! It’s only a 2 min trailer.

super lame
What a conflict between funny and action, east and west (both really overrated actors/performers) overpoduction opposed to the original's natural finesse and style, special effects dominating the need for the audience to actually like the characters, and brother I ****ING HATE JAY CHOU.
The guy is a pretty boy with a weak voice and no charisma.
YOU ARE NOT JET LI, JAY, SO **** OFF. YOU SUCK.
dont believe me? watch "the city of golden armor", AKA "curse of the golden flower", to see just how ****ING CRAP JAY CHOU is.

I really think that they are adding too much comedy in this version. I like Seth in what he does comedies, the studio may take a big loss on this one if the audience can't believe in the actor being the character they won't pull it off.

Triple X meets Kick Ass
I ll give it a shot. Looks a little bit too much like a TRIPLE X meets KICK ASS hybrid....but hey...anybody noticed Christoph Waltz ( Inglorious Basterds) as the bad guy ?! Let s see what he can bring to the table.

Looks like Fun
It looks like fun to me, They are not looking to make a artistic oscar winning film. their trying to make a fun night out. and hey thats what the target audiance wants it looks great dispite obvious short commings. I am happy because the people who said this movie would never get made are eating their words
by tino | June 22, 2010, 4:47PM
what crap?
Seriously if anyone would want to see the same thing as the old version, just watch the old version! Its fine that they did not take the batman dark road, cause if they did then it would be just like the batman. Then everyone will be ranting its a batman rip-off.

Everyone Needs to STFU
This is just a trailer (a good one in my opinion) everyone saying GONDRY YOU SELL OUT, or SETH ROGEN YOU SUCK. Chill out, It was written by 2 gifted writers who will no doubt not write a generic action film. They are like us film geeks they know what sucks. Also Gondrys zany film style will more than likely make it in theirs no way he would do anything just for cash. Everyone who is saying ITS HORRID, THEY RUINED IT. SHUT THE **** UP. How many films have had bad trailers that turned out being awesome? God I mean the Toy Story 3 trailer was only subpar. I thought this trailer was fun, entertaining, and pretty funny.
by Yojimbo | June 22, 2010, 1:57PM
crap
oh my god... my god ! Michel Gondry, what the hell are you doing ?? just for money ? crap
by Ruined Saint | June 22, 2010, 12:35PM
Not Sold Yet
Not sure what to think... Rogen as Green Hornet seems unfortunate, but Chou looks like he's filling the role of Kato just fine (despite relying on special effects to match Lee's natural badassery).

Guess I hoped a GH movie would take the material more seriously; Then again, embrassing the original GH's campiness from the start might save them from becoming the train wrecks that Batman Forever and Batman & Robin were.
by ru4real | June 22, 2010, 11:11AM
no
I'm not going to lie. I've never liked Seth for some strange reason. He dosen't even look like he's trying to act in this. The action and Kato give it SOME hope, but not much. I might check it out if I'm bored.
by Hairyman | June 22, 2010, 8:39AM
ouch
This looks pretty bad. I am not familiar with the original show, but this looks terrible. I cannot believe that Bruce Lee would be happy with this.
by batmantis@live.com | June 21, 2010, 11:23PM
Horrible!
Just as I feared, they totally ruined this movie!!!! Can't believe Seth is playing the Green Hornet. He can't act in that role!
