Hopes & Prayers for Joss WhedonI didn't like TRANSFORMERS : REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, and that film seemed "Everywhere," in plot but it wasn't as in "DARK OF THE MOON."
THE AVENGERS seems on the contrary to that statement and feels quite detailed and to the point, I just hope the action-sequences are not as choppy as they were in those other titles listed, they seem to be that way in action movies... of recent memory; Nevertheless, this looks good, and Mark Ruffalo as HULK seems good, nothing that would distort Marvel's continuation of it's characters.
As one of the co-writers for Speed, Toy Story, my hopes & prayers are with Joss Whedon in creating an epic gathering of heroes that we all will enjoy.

Cool@Trun It just seems like they're overemphasizing it a bit, as if they think we might forget the heroes don't get along at first. I found it a little distracting. Obviously it looks OK to you, so it's probably just me. No big, just a nit-picky thing.
Also thanks for the info about the Midgard Serpent.

Hulk Smash!!!Finally a decent look at the Hulk, and he looks pretty good, certainly better than previous movie incarnations. Scarlet looks good enough to eat as expected and the destruction looks plentiful.....i for one, am a happy bunny

nothing wrong here@Wordsmi999 I guess you don't read superhero comic books. The obligatory "Heroes meet for the first time but there's a misunderstanding, so they fight." routine is a superhero comic book staple. The filmmakers are being spot on in keeping tune with how these things tend to go.
And the thing chasing Iron Man is The Midgard Serpent

Team or time bomb? This shows more emphasis on the interior conflicts between the heroes. Captain America fighting Thor??? How does that happen? Come on, guys, have you forgotten you're up against the ultimate enemy? I can understand upping the stakes, but it seems like the filmmakers are overdoing it tad, at least in the preview.
That said, it looks awesome. And what is that thing chasing Iron Man at the end??!

Marketing/AwesomeFor the Hawkeye question: general audiences don't know who he is. Lots of people are gonna see him in these trailers and think "Who's this guy?" That's why. He'll have plenty of character in this movie hopefully since he's the most underdevelopped in the series so far. On a second note, this really is starting to look like it will exceed expectations.

Hawkeye!!!!Thats what Ive been wandering! Why is there so little from Hawkeye in all these trailers? It makes me think he will be the best Avenger of all ...That and the fact hes played by Jeremy Renner!!!! =P
by Hairyman | February 29, 2012, 11:44AM
HawkeyeDoes he get any lines of dialog? I don't think he has had one in any of the teasers or trailers.

Holy crap......that was an awesome trailer. And it didnt reveal any plot points either, at least none that we didnt already know via common sense. Wow!
