Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Trailer

Upscale Font The trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

An origin story in the true sense of the word, Rise of the Planet of the Apes is set in present day San Francisco. The film is a reality-based cautionary tale -- a science fiction/science-fact blend where mankind's hubris leads to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy. Oscar(R)-winning visual effects house WETA Digital - employing certain of the groundbreaking technologies developed for "Avatar" - will render, for the first time ever in the film series, photo-realistic apes rather More Trailer Details

Be Careful
If you're gonna pull something like this, you better be damn sure you're doing it right.

And get the WHOLE trailer next time, alright?

Obsessed
After all these years, now they decide to make a PREquel to the series. I think that is just stupid.

interesting
weta digital was also responsible for the fx in the lord of the rings trilogy... it's peter jackson's company... looks interesting enough, can't wait to see more trailer footage... *heads over to apple*

Blame The Apes
The monkeys don't want you to see the entire trailer...it has begun.

What?
@EpicSauseMcgee
Go to Apple Trailers. There you can view the whole trailer.

Anyway, this was a bit lackluster. Where are all these apes coming from? I'm still excited to see it, but not so much anymore.

maybe
Crock of **** plot, and I mean even for science fiction and the series itself Any good writer knows you don't explore these details.

By itself there is absolutely no way that a handful of intelligent monkeys, that seemed to multiple with every shot in an environment that doesn't have more than a few in zoos and labs (and that doesn't even answer how they ALL became intelligent if not a virus) are going to bring the fall of humanity. Action and good looking CGI apes aside, just stupid.

maybe you should see the movie first rather than try to make an analysis on a 1 min 16 second trailer.

Did the trailer just cut off at the end
Or is it supposed to do that?

looks cool enough
Seems like another straight-to-the-point kind of script, and probably very fast- paced, hopefully not lacking what could have gripping and emotional pull. But could be cool to see our inferior primate species going ape-s*** on our cities by the masters at Weta digital, who should also be credited for King Kong.

AGREED....
Very promising approach. The world is going nuts anyway....why not showing it so people get a better picture.

end of summer
Looks like the perfect movie to end the summer on. Looks entertaining and the CGI should be top notch.

Surprisng
Was not expecting that at all.. Wasnt sure about the idea of making another Planet of the Apes but this one actually looks really good.
