HD = no respect for the moviegoerSat through this last night, and while it had its moments, it needed to be cut. A lot. And, this is a Michael Mann "film" with a great cast. Do we need to see badly lit HD video? Or maybe even HDV? Please, give your project some respect, Mr. Mann. How much did you save shooting the middle of the film in HD? It looked like a student film, and lost all the magic your designers and art director provided you. Horrible.

Mann's styleI love Mann's visceral style of filming; his action feels so crisp and lifelike, almost as though you were watching something happening right outside your window.
This is one of the best casts assembled for a mainstream film in a long time; Depp, Bale, Cotillard, and Ribisi alone is an incredible cast, but throw in Crudup, Dorff, Wenham, and Lang.....this one should be something special.

Mann oh MannYeah Micheal Mann is something different alltogether. Everytime I watched a Mann-movie, all the other movies seam to have firecrackers for their weapons:P his sounddesign is always wonderful.
Also the camera shots and movement looks a lot more real than on other films. I sat in the theaters the other night and was amazed at the image quality of the trailer. Gotta love digital:)

LocationsI am excited for this film and at least they did not just use a green screen to make these scenes.
