David Belle

David Belle is French. Jake Gyllenhaal's Persian accent is probably 1000X better than David Belle's.

well, if any of you are old enough to remember, patrick wayne certainly didn't look persian enough to play sinbad, but he did (and did it well). From a cinematic point of view, it really doesn't matter if the lead conforms to your preconceived notion of what a persian would have looked like 1000 years ago. the movie looks kick-ass!

the strangest thought i keep having is that they might as well have had his stunt double and parkour double (i think played by parkour pioneer David Belle) playing the entire role of the prince. Jake's accent sounds odd and he doesnt really look brown enough hehe.
