Dear people,
Sorry to bring said news but I live in holland and I have seen the movie at 12 AM on 15th of july 2009.
I am a very big fan and just like most of you I couldn't wait to see it.
But as you will see when you go to the movie, you will not believe me right now of course, is that it sucks.
SOOOOOO many scenes are missing.
For example:
- no dumbledore funeral
- no battle inside hogwarts
- no apparate in hogsmeade but at the astronomy tower
- no paralizing of harry under his cloak
- no Bill and Fleur
- no scenes with fudge or anything of the ministry at all

As you can see I was deeply disappointed, it is a dirty spot on a wonderfull serie of films, so please everybody complain as much as you can because we have to change this.
It really sucks.

I just can not wait for the new movie to hit thearters! I was as mad as everyone else when the release date was changed and held back. And though people are worried that Twilight will deminish the fan base I do not believe that.

I like Twilight but am still number one fan to this series. They just do so much with it and the graphics and technology are fantastic. Something Twilight really lacks. As for their actors as well. But don't forget that are own Cedric Diggery is the new loved Vampire charactar in Twilight!

All though his acting skills seemed better in Harry Potter. Either way I am happy he landed him self a large role.
July is right around the corner and I am exstatic the new Harry Potter is about to be released. Anger aside at Warner, We have to remember that they have to do whats in best interest to the movie and what it grosses. Like it or not they need money to keep it going.

And as July hits we will all line up and buy tickets to see our favorirte characters defeat death once more. However I am sure my fiance would rather it be released later as I am draggin him tio see it....hes not a fan lol Of movies

Another thing. Im sick of people asking the same thing again, and again, so read this post, and be quiet for once:

It's the Burrow on fire. It was a deleted chapter from the book, which Rowling is pleased to have been kept in the movie.

The movie was delayed because of money.
WB claim it was the writers strike, yet the script was already finished. They really held it back, for the money it would make in a summmer release. Twilight never had anything to do with it. Dont get me wrong, I hate twilight, but they never did anything to delay HBP. HOWEVER, they did take advantage of the delay, and the pissed off fans, thinking they would go and see their film instead. Instead, more fans got pissed off with them. Yeah, it gets you angry with their attitude. No respect at all, but theres no point in continueing your rants at them. Hmm, any more questions?

Oh, yeah, about the final scene deletion thing. I didn't think it made sence either. Thats why I asked, If there was more to the story, or if it was bogus. All in all, im glad it's still in. I was just over exited that day, I had only just seen the trailer, and so many things were running through my head loll. Sorry for my panic (=

Look, yes, there was a decent amuont of protection, but not enough to prevent the Death Eaters attack. Also, if it didn't fit, Rowling would have requested it removed, but she said, in her own words, that she loved it, and it fitted perfectly. If Rownling doesn't see a loophole in her own books, why should you, or any of us try to find any?

the only problem i have with the burrow on fire is the fact that it is protected - by the ministry as a safe haven for harry... in the final book - the ministry loses control and the protection is gone... how are they going to explain the lapse in protection? and cutting out the final battle scene is bogus - esp. when you put in a scene that CANT make sense to replace it! but it does look good - best yet (not that any of them have been over the top great anyway)

This trailer is AMAZING! The Harry Potter franchise just gets better and better! Even the games are becoming enjoyable, after the disaster that was the Goblet of fire.

So, moving on, I've heard many rumours, and I was wondering, the Burrow scene. Is it replacing the scene at the end, with the attack on Hogwarts castle? Because that would be dissapointing. I mean, i don't want to wait for the second of the 7th movies to see a attack on the castle. Anyone confirm weather the "flight of the prince" scenes are staying?

It's just that the scenes should stay. It would really portray the anger that followed Dumbledores death. And the second war on Hogwarts (7th book) seems like im going to be chocking of laughter and tears at the same time lol.

I just now recently starting watching the Harry Potter movies because of this preview. I really was not that interested in this franchise and the only one I liked was the Prisonor of Azakabahn. Now that I am watching them all in order I really do enjoy the imaginations in these movies. I am truly excited for this movie to come out.

The trailer is so Awsome that it just caught me here now giving comments about it. Now really some high tech magic and amazing scenes one really sees. Hope the movie is twice as much fantastic as the trailer is working for a great appetizer.

The work done by J.K.Rowling (books) and Warner bro.s (movies) will be remembered by everyone till centuries.

The Burrow doesn't even get burned in DH at all. This is part of an entirely new scene that Jo, herself approved. Besides, If you really were a Harry Potter Fan, You'd \'ve moved on to the new trailer that's available on MUGGLENET, where no one who can call themselves a devoted fan would not know stuff such as this. aka, they tell u every bit of movie info. that's out there(No dursleys again, no funeral, quidditch, but no battle(saving it for DH).

This may just be the HP movie everyones been waiting for. I've read that the "attack" on the burrow was something JK wrote but didn't put in her final cut of HBP. David Yates did not write the script, the script was written and approved by other people. David Yates or any director is hired on after the script has been approved. It is up to the Director to make the best movie with the script he has been approved to use. So please don’t blame David Yates for areas of the script that you don’t agree with or approve of. In my opinion David Yates has done a great job creating an exciting and enjoyable movie with what he was given to work with.

I am so pleased that Dumbledore's hair and beard are back to how they should be - like Richard Harris's character in the first two films. And the cave is exactly as in my imagination. Shame they have given Narcissa Malfoy dark hair with just a blonde streak in it. Can't wait for the film.

This is going to be the best. I hope so anyway... The burrow is on fire because it's attacked by the Death Eaters just as said David Yates in I-don't-remember-wich-one-it-was interview and J.K. said that she read the script and was absolutely delighted by the writers" ideas. And I think she actually even saw the movie. And if SHE liked it and enjoyed the modifications, who are we to say such things as "it sucks", "he's a fucking bad director", "he's the worst director the Harry Potter series have even seen" etc. I think this movie will be at least as good as was the 3rd and I hope as far as possible from the 4th's catastrophy...
Anyway, I think each of us should make up his own opinion and share it without swearing (saw that in a website, was shocked to see how people can hate each other because of something they are all fond of...).

Very looking forward to watching this movie... Looks, sounds and feels so great ! The sixth book is my favorite so I expect very much of this film. Well wait and see then ^^

Waw!! Very Amazing Movie!! in the world

OMG!!!!!!! This movie is going to out-do the other five movies! It sucks that they moved to release date to July, but this will soooo be worth the wait. I hope that the Deathly Hallows will be able to even out-do this one, but I don't know how they're gonna split it into two parts. I personally think that they should make it just one movie, because we're gonna end up with two one-hour movies instead of one 3 hour movie. I think that that would be better, but anyway, I am so excited to see how the rest of the movie series turns out!

if you go to mtv movies there is a frame by frame explanation of the trailer. and both hagrids hut and the burrow are on fire. the burrow is not set on fire in the book (i've read it 3 times) but warner borthers took thr liberty to do what ever they want and as i understand it that's whre they are going to place the final battle instead of hogwarts like in the book (assholes) because "they din't want it to look similar to the final battle at the end of deathly hallows. again assholes. i can't understand why j.k. is being lenient with them i mean they should be afraid of her it's fucking harry potter the #1 franchise in history (that's a fact) more than star wars or anything any other company would be happy to pick it up so they took too many things out of OOTP which was like 1:30 shorter that the prisoner of azkaban film even though the book was longer so they shouldn'y be cutin part or adding stuff may be it's just me because i would't care if a HP film goes for 3 and a half hours or more i swear.

The Burrow is burning in this trailer. Yes, in the book that doesn't happen, but irregardless, it is burning in the trailer. I paused it to verify, and it is definitely the Burrow. Also, WB did a press release, and it was because they wanted to make lots of money that they moved the release date. It.Was.NOT.Because.Of.The.Strike. They were quite clear they wanted to release HP in the same weekend next year as they released Batman this year, in order to attempt to gross the same amount of profit. Pure capitalism. No other reason but greed. Sorry to burst the bubble of empathetic blindness.

By the way, I am still seeing the movie opening night at the IMAX. If I don't die of excitement beforehand.

Hagrid's hut actually does catch on fire in the book... During the battle where Severus kills Dumby... For the Burrow I have no clue...
Guess we will have to wait and see...

First of all, even though your mind is set on Harry Potter being the BEST movies of all time doesnt mean you should put down a great movie like The Dark Knight. At the very least respect the movie that had a total of $520,000,000 + in the boxoffice, not nearly as much as a Harry Potter film, They moved the date because of financial reasons and also it will be closer to Part 1 and Part 2 of Deathly Hallows, so in the longrun we wont have to wait so long, plus since TDK made so much money in the mid-july Time slot, WB thought HBP would do the same, Harry Potter is of course awesome, I love the movies to death, just saying dont put down the #2 highest grossing movie just cuz it beat ur harry potter flick in the box office! Thats rediculous

WB moved the movie to next year so they could make more money. All they care about is money. To those Harry Potter fans who keep saying Twilight has nothing on HP, SHUTUP, ya'll probably have not read the series, which is really great just as good as HP, until ya'll read the Twilight series ya'll can't bash on it so keep your mouths shut. If i can like both series ya'll can at least give Twilight a try. Don't try to say Twilight is boring because it is hugely entertaining, so all I am trying to say is both Twilight and HP deserved to be read.

Actually, Mandy is right. They moved it for economic reasons relating to profit. Had nothing to do with a strike, Warner Bros. announced it.

They decided they had enough good movies this year and they'd rather have it as a summer (in the US) blockbuster next year.

To anyone who is confused- they moved the date because of a STRIKE.

Not because of some other movie like Dark Knight or Twilight.

I'm am most positive that WB did NOT move the date because of TWILIGHT! That series and movie has NOTHING on the HP francise and never will be able to hold a candle to it.

They moved the date because, most likely, they already made so much money from the Dark Knight this year. They don't have any huge plans for a movie as big in 2009...if they released HP this year, and not next year...their 2009 revenue would be immensly low compared to 2008.

It all makes sense and is SMART in the long run. It's just sad for us having to wait so long!

It seems to me that the house on fire is the Burrow...there is suppose to be an attack on the Burrow...and it seems that in one shot they are standing and looking at something with an orange glow about them...possibly looking at the burning Burrow.

That is deffinately Lavender Brown kissing Ron...if you've looked at any of the pics of her from the movie you'd know that. She's wearing a pink bow just like in the pics.

It's Lupin or Mr. Weasly screaming 'Harry' not Ron.

Siriusly though...it's amazing and I've watched it like 20 times and get goosebumps everytime!!!

My fiance manages a theatre and we see movies a day early and for free....so I can boycott WB and still see the movie anyways...haha cause I'm so sad we won't be seeing this next month!!!

By the way reading previous its the burrow thats got the fire round it I think added in scene but it looks like the burrow from chambers with the garage at the side.

WOW OH WOW!! this is sooooo amazing!! thank ya so much!! im so pumped i cant wait. i get goosebumps from the very beginning, and i've still got them. im watching this all the time and loving it. but this movie seems to hav a LOT of fire in it... i dont remember that much fire in the book-- but i guess they've added too many scenes. and did u hear that theres no final battle in this movie? that makes meh mad. no dursleys either. but seeing this got meh so excited-- i cant wait. and the ending is hilarious!! :D

::jaw drops:: All I can say is wow! I'm still really bummed the movie was pushed back to July of next year but it's worth the wait. I think it's a shame if you are going to boycott because of that, it's not going to change the fact that the movie isn't coming out in November. All we can do is wait but if they keep putting out trailers like this I might just have to sneak into WB and sneak a peak at the actual movie!!! And then get thrown in jail :) I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL JULY!!! It looks amazing, truly amazing. The cinematography looks incredible. Wow. Just wow.

To Quonky who was slightly confused about the Burrow being on fire (and anyone else in the same situation), the creators of the movie decided to add a scene in which the burrow gets attacked by death Eaters. I am not sure why, but I have heard that the 'battle' at the end of HBP will not be included, so it may be making up for that. They won't be including the HBP Battle at Hogwarts because there is a battle of Hogwarts at the end of DH and they didn't want it to look to similar (or something like that). Hope that cleared it up for you :)

FYI, that was not Hermione kissing Ron, every one i show this to thinks its Hermione. Is that Greyback duleing with harry ang ginny in the swamp place? Creepy Looking... I have no idea why McGonagall was shooting her wand up in the air. It could'nt be the dark mark becasue the only one looking streat up is hagrid. I wish they showed the dark mark over hogwarts or the Inferi. Since harry yells "fight back you coward!" there may not be two parts to the movie. idk. this trailer made my month! Who is that at the end of the hall. the first one (39) is obviously Draco going into the room of requirements, but on 40 it looks like the dark lord? Its funny how it looks like Albus and harry are apparating to quidditch (ha). but the beginning where dumbledore is controlling the fire is so awesome! Just like the cover of the book! Bellatrix looks so evil danceing in the fire like that.... oh i cant shut up...
