Disappointed Krueger 2010
I am disappointed that Wes Craven is not on board for this. Freddy was his creation and he should be the one doing any and all remakes. Yes some of the ones in the past could've been better, but the New Nightmare rocked. Perhaps they could've built on that more. I am undecided if I will waste my time or not seeing this in the theater especially since Robert Englund is not the star either.

I think your AFRAID!!!
Why is everyone AFRAID?! If your afraid, don't take it out on a great movie. Take it out on your own candy-a$$!!! I am The Boogeyman and I'm coming for you!!!

what is up with this freddy
ok... honestly. I ****IN HATE THIS ****! what is up with the story line how come in the trailer he is saying he didnt do anything to the kids. In the original freddy didnt care who knew he actually laughed when they started to burn him. this one just doesnt seem that evil. he looks like a mentally retarded kid. and i am truley sorry for using that term but its true. this remake can go strat to hell along with the halloween remakes and any others to come.

Real HORROR Fans
First of all, Robert was the original Freddy. No one is denying that. But by the last few Nightmares that stuff couldn't happen in a LSD trip. As real as a serial killer can be in a dream, we will see in 2010. Second, all these remakes have one thing in common, THEY COULD REALLY HAPPEN!!! Minus being killed in your dream. Everyone, who is claiming to love horror, is bashing the remakes, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw. I believe why these YELLOW COWARDS are bashing the remakes is because it made them mess thier panties while watching it and made them afraid to turn off the lights to sleep. So to all the pantywaist punks who can't grow a set I say If you can't stand the fear, stay out of the dark!!! The boogyman is real, and you have found him!!!

Who Cares About Robert Englund
First Of All Robert Englund Is A Legend For The First Nightmare On Elm Street And Maybe Wes Craven's New Nightmare But Come On People The Other "Nightmares" Were So Far Fetched And Stupid Because They Were Trying Be Funny But Does Anyone Notice That Jackie Actually Looks Like A Burn Victim And Not Someone With Crazy Makeup He Looks Like Freddy If One Of Us Was Freddy And Thats Cool To Me It Doesnt Seem Fake Even Though We all Know There Are No Rules In Dream World But It Seems Like They Might Actually Get This Remake Right This Time I.E. Jason,Texas Chainsaw Etc...... But Everyone Needs To See This Cause Jackie Is A Superb Actor Even Though I'll Always Remember Him As Kelly Leak In Bad News Bears

Can't Wait!
by fratboyfreddy | October 7, 2009, 1:19PM
hell yeah!
totally agreeing with freakyfreddy. i don't think this about making a nightmare on elm street "better". cuz let's be real, the original will always be the best no matter how many times someone will try to remake it. but man, they made his face look so ugly compared to the original! i'm not all that concerned about his voice because it will NEVER sound exactly like Englund's. and if it did some of you would still be throwing a fit about that too! some people will never be satisfied.

A Nightmare on Elm Street
Ugh, I was so dissapointed when I found out that Robert Englund wasn't going to be in this. I mean, there is no Nightmare on Elm Street without Englund! But to my surprise, this trailer is pretty awesome! Even though I really don't like Freddy's new look, I will definitely be watching this next year. It would be a different story if Bay completely changed the movie, but he actually stuck to some of the original scenes. How are you going to totally bash a movie based on a few minutes worth of footage?
by TiipZ | October 7, 2009, 6:47AM
Noooo!
Those idiots have spoiled The Elm Street! I hate all the remakes...
by Clarissa | October 6, 2009, 12:37PM
Crap
They messed freddy face and voice up. I am not paying to see this crap. I love Nightmare on Elm Street (old ones). I just can't watch it without Robert england playing Freddy.

NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET
I wasn't even gonna bother watching this trailer. Now I'm glad I did watch it. I am actually really impressed. I had goosebumps throughout the entire trailer. I love Jackie Earl Haley. He is an incredible actor and he always gets so in to his characters and he's always convincing. I'm actually going to see this.
by raffardigans | September 30, 2009, 11:51AM

by Movie master | September 30, 2009, 4:19AM
remake a good thing?
I only can see one half decent actress in it and Robert Englund isnt in it so i spose when u want to remake a 25 yr old movie into something a bit different, well they made friday the 13th good hopefully they'll hit the spot for this one
by samd51 | September 29, 2009, 4:36PM
voice
whats up with freddy's voice? it doesnt sound scary whatsoever
by aqua | September 29, 2009, 1:42PM
#$%&*
I don't get it...I really don't. Michael Bay isn't all that bad, but why directors (these days) think they can turn classics into something better. It's not possible, and truthfully speaking, I am going to go see this. I want to see how "good" they really think that turn this into. Halloween remake was a disaster, Friday the 13th wasn't too far from the tree. Now we have Freddy Kruger WITHOUT Robert Englund. They say change is good, but it's not always great. I'll give this movie a try. What's next? Another Child's Play, Leprechaun...or maybe Chucky vs Leprechaun. Now that's a classic thing to see. LoL.

Pretty decent trailer
Well, I'm looking forward to this movie anyways.. Sure, it hasn't got Robert Englund in it, not even a cameo-performance, but I'll give it a go, though the last wave of horror-remakes have been.. Yeeah.. Uhhm.. But having been a fan of the franchise since the beginning, I'd love to see, what they make of this.. Oh, and saw a comment about Jackie's voice.. Well.. He has been burned pretty severily, as shown in this makeup-test: http://www.shockya.com/news/wp-content/uploads/nightmare_on_elm_street_makeup_test.jpg - So i'd figure, that the voice might actually be spot on, considering the damage of the skin/tissue and so forth..? Anyways, hope they do a good job, as the trailer looks pretty good, and who knows..? Maybe Jackie ain't that bad a Freddy after all..?

nightmare on elm street remake
Michael Bay is the worst thing to come into film period. Transformers and everything else he's done has been horrible. He always sacrifices plot for show and special effects. I have a feeling this will be the same. Robert Englund forever!
by Rempz23 | September 28, 2009, 7:58PM
This Is No Remake It's Been Recreated
This is not suppose to be a remake of the orginal film(s). It ihas been recreated and based only on the idea. just like rob zombies version of Halloween.

Deja Vu!
"This won't hurt one little bit"

Poor Poor Jackie...
Poor Jackie Earle Haley - always plays the ugly & mentally disturbed.
by Get of my point break | September 28, 2009, 4:19PM
This will blow
I am in the watching classic horror business - and cousin, business is not a booming!
This will blow - it was a dead cert pile of ****e! - Some horrors should not be touched.
by Elfman | September 28, 2009, 3:41PM
Interesting
It has promise, but it could go wrong quickly. The Jason reboot was nice resetting of the series. Not sure this will do the same for Freddy.
by Farzan | September 28, 2009, 12:50PM
Looks ok
Trailer is well made and Im sure the movie will turn out fine, but Jackie's Freddy voice needs ALOT of work. Its just terrible when compared to Englund's Freddy voice.
by micro | September 28, 2009, 12:44PM

I can't wait
by cavemanweston | September 28, 2009, 11:45AM

by Movierover | September 28, 2009, 10:58AM
Come On
No imagination! I wish Hollywood would give me millions to do remakes.
by Special-K | September 28, 2009, 6:55AM
Fred
**** yeah!!! One of the greatest movies of all time is finally out. I hope they don't screw the pooch on this one and ruin it for me.
by randeez | September 28, 2009, 5:39AM
i want creepy
I don't care that it is a remake as long as it is creepy. I was scared out of my wits when I saw the original back in 84. I want to feel that way again.

New blood
I've never been a fan of Freddy, but I think the relase will show the movie to the people who missed it in the '80s.

Gay
I was excited at first, but now this is straight garbage. Platinum Dunes Sucks!
by Sylentwolf | September 28, 2009, 12:44AM
Jackie is NO Robert
Jackie is NO Robert. Is this the only thing Micheal Bay will tap-into is movie remakes (Post Transformers)? That's too bad. I was just beginning to think that he was transforming his career, but I must of been getting ahead of myself. As far as I'm concerned, this movie should of went straight to video. I'll never pay to see a "Movie-Remake", nor would I even download a free version of it.
