surely our planet needs to replenish itself every now and then....but if these theories came true...well i guess, it's better for us to know something global is happening on 2012 rather than sitting in our a@#es and not knowing!

reseach shows that when it really happens, water rise will be 340 to 360 ft above the present sea level or that's how they computed it to be after polar melting and after the poles have shifted (you can read more of this at howtosurvive2012.com)

a lot of people are really asking government agecies as to where and how are they going to build bunkers if this world wide catastrophe happens....
well, honestly? if you want to build something? you'll need to secure permits!!!! or otherwise, they'll turn you plan down....sheez!

If the theory is based on the end of the Mayan calendar, then one should look up and understand what did the end of a cycle meant to the Mayans; there are speculations that it meant re-birth, or significant change. One thing that does bother me is the fact that thousands of years ago, more than two civilization stared working on erecting monuments to the goods (seen in the Sumerian tablets, and Egyptian and Mayan pyramids) that are constructed very similar in shape and in purpose. At the time there was no means of communication, and yet we still see the edifications raised with the sole purpose to serve the Gods. Could it be that there is a connection with the "newly" found planet "x" (although the Sumerians had it inscribed in their tablets long time ago).
To my understanding the end of a cycle only means that it will repeat itself, over and over again, however, the world will be face to forego an extreme transformation in order to endure life.

I imagine that the focus of ancient cultures in this movie will probably be the Mayans, but anyone interested in this should research The Sumerians. My thoughts are that "time" will change. Time is relative. Perhaps, the birth of time travel will be that change, or maybe, time as we know it will really stop...Who the hell knows.

What I do know is on December 21, 2012, we will experience a grand alignment. The winter solstice sun will be in galactic center, and this happens once every 26,000 years. Also, the earth's axis will shift. I know that the Sumerians knew about the galaxy in its entirety 6,000 years ago (including an additional planet), and we've only known about Pluto's existence since 1930. Good luck finding your truth out there, and be careful, because there is a lot of B.S. out there too that will point you nowhere.

From what documentaries I've seen on the subject of apocalypse, the world has gone through several "lives", a certain number in total it will go through say some old prophets. The last one is estimated to begin around 2012. So if anything happens at all (which I'm giving a 5 - 10% chance of likelihood), it wouldn't be the end, just something really bad. Edward Casey, the "Sleeping Prophet" predicted the Earth would shift, which has happened before, I believe. Anyway, December that year I'll be hiding up in the mountains until I'm sure things are safe. If millions of us are gonna die, I wanna be around to watch. Can't wait.

I think there have been at least 10 major extintion events in Earths history. Im sure we are due for another one. If it happens to be on 12/21/2012 at least we wont be around to see Sarah Palin become our next president.
