I Am Legend

Alternate Ending

As discussed by First Showing and /Film, the alternate ending for I Am Legend is a better representation of the source material. Instead of having Robert Neville (Will Smith) die during the final sequence, the original ending allows his character to survive with added implications.

The general consensus is that this was a better ending than that shown in theaters.
