Trailer for When We Lived in Miami which will premiere at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival.

With a hurricane threatening to destroy her way of life, When We Lived in Miami is a hypnotic short about the lengths one woman will go to keep her family from falling apart. Stylistically similar to Seimetz's critically acclaimed and SXSW award winning feature film "Sun Don't Shine", When We Lived in Miami was produced by Borscht Corp ("The Life and Freaky Times of Uncle Luke") during tropical storm Isaac. Using the real life storm to great effect, writer-director-star Amy Seimetz (HBO's "Family Tree") crafts a simple yet haunting narrative that is deeply felt and powerfully realized. Featuring AJ Bowen and six year old new comer Fiona D'Avis, the short was filmed on super 16mm by Jay Keitel.
